Between the text of the teaser and the Liberl Ark-looking things, I think we're looking at a prequel here.

Falcom is a pretty detail-oriented company. I wonder why they dropped the Eiyuu Densetsu from Nayuta no Kiseki's title but then kept it for Zero no Kiseki's blurred out subtitle Vita release...

*begin moaning & complaining* Dagnabbit, bring these to a regular platform, not stinkin' smart phones. Even if I had an interest & the $ for a smartphone(including the stupid mandatory $30 monthly data fee), I would have to truly desperate for me personally to give in & buy them on a phone. *end moaning & complaining* Anyhoo, if Trails does indeed make it over here on smartphones, I hope it helps Xseed. Actually, more so I hope that it doesn't hinder them from releasing SC & TC! For all we know(until Wyrdy says otherwise) they may just throw in the towel if someone else releases it here on another platform, now that would suck.

I think in these two cases the options are -
A) Release on smartphones B) Don't release at all
I'll never consider myself a fan of download only gaming, but I do recognise that a lot of the games I've enjoyed these past few years wouldn't have been released without it. :/

Sorcerian's not new, they announced that a while back and Falcom posted two teasers, one showing the game off on an ipad (and confirming it will include the Forever scenarios). They even announced plans to bring that one out in English when they first announced it.
Now, the idea of the actual Sora trilogy (as opposed to a social game using Sora trappings) on smartphones is new as far as I'm aware and I've no idea how they could bring the things out in English when XSEED has already provided an official translation for FC and is working on SC. Would they pay for XSEED's script(s)? And then there's the sheer size of the games if they plan to port the things without axing a whole ton of stuff...

I wonder if Xseed has exclusive rights to any Trails games released outside Japan, or if their rights are strictly for the PSP versions. I'm personally guessing that this company will do the translating themselves.....for better or worse. Hell, if they do it themselves, it may just re-instate LOH games as having horrible translations. Hopefully Tom can tell us something in regards to all of this?

I wonder why they dropped the Eiyuu Densetsu from Nayuta no Kiseki's title but then kept it for Zero no Kiseki's blurred out subtitle Vita release... I like how people all over the Internet think there's some kind of big conspiracy or special reason for that, when it's just business as usual for Falcom. If you recall, this has happened before (ED3 itself dropped the Dragon Slayer name) and will happen again, when Falcom feel that Whatever no Kiseki: Awesome Sub-series has grown beyond the Kiseki franchise. So basically, R.I.P. Eiyuu Densetsu (1989-2011). You had a good run.

Oh wait. Let me actually troll properly:
Another Kiseki game? Joy.
*goes back to ignoring Falcom for another few months*
*Also heads back to Kairospot*

The site just updated with a new background and a few logo tweaks but Legend of Heroes remains dropped. Considering that the Kiseki series now outnumbers the rest of LoH combined I'm not entirely surprised they decided to finally drop the title. Who knows, maybe it will return in twenty years when Kiseki has ended and Falcom wants to do another RPG game with a similar basic concept but in a different world.
Anyhow, now we've got some more high-tech vistas and an apparently sleeping girl in an exotic outfit. Speculation, run wild!

I am not generally a fan of the Kiseki series and would have ignored Falcom like nunuu here but since this game is an action-rpg along the line of Ys and is probably one of the last Falcom games for PSP, I think I will get one. I don't see Ys 4 coming out this year anyway so I might as well get my action rpg fix with this game and Prototype 2. I wonder if this is a prequel or a game set on the entirely different universe. Part of me wishes it's an entirely different universe because of how convoluted the Kiseki series has become. BTW, I can just follow the instruction from this thread for ordering, right? seldane.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=falcom&action=display&thread=1163

How much do you want to bet that somewhere in there, Noi has an outfit based on Renne's dress?

First gameplay video:
Looks more like Zwei 2 than Ys.

Considering what's been coming out about how Nayuta and Noi work together, I'm not entirely surprised if that turns out to be the case. I'm certainly enjoying the implication that we've got some cool 3d action with the lower left boss shot at the end on that swaying platform. How cool does that look?

I like Falcom games before they started using voice actors.. now their settings and characters keep becoming anime cliches more and more.
Though the graphics and game design still looks good and as long is that is still there, I'll continue to support Falcom. I wonder how much more before their pandering to Japanese anime pedophiles becomes too much and drives me away like most other things Japanese that I used to enjoy...
