I'm looking forward to playing Nayuta soon... I'm extremely curious to see just how much of a Gurumin 2 / Zwei III it really is.
From videos it seemed to play like a Gurumin x Ys Seven x Ys VI engine game. Seemed fun. And didn't seem "Kiseki" at all...
Apparently it also is like Gurumin in the sense you get a new Game+ file and you unlock many "modes" upon finishing the game many times? And leveling is there, except it's not with food AFAIK, but I wouldn't be surprised if originally it WAS with food, but then they tried to "disguise" it...

Actually, it is food, though it doesn't work quite the same way as in Zwei. You can level up through fighting as well but cooking is the easiest way once you get the right recipes and ingredients.
Also, there's only one unlockable mode, Infinite difficulty which is, well, hard. No effect on the story though. Beating the game once does however unlock After Story, which is basically the real ending of the game hidden as if it were a separate mode. You have to clear it to access NG+ (which is in turn required to unlock the fourth season for each continent) so it's not really optional.

xD Hilarious. XD The food bit. But yeah, doesn't sound to be exaaactly the same as Zwei. xD Guess Falcom did pull off a so-so disguise! And, I see. Yeah, that sounds analogous, but also a bit different from Gurumin. Somewhat analogous, because you actually only get to see the true ending of Gurumin (rather, a "part 2" to the ending) after you finish the game on Pleasure Mode (unlocked from beating Hard, which is unlocked from beating Normal). OK, I'm somewhat hyped to see through this game, I'm defintely starting on this along with Ys Seven PC hopefully in the first week of January. Just wished Falcom didn't try to "kiseki" it... But I guess the "fruit" (the game's "core") they offer is the same, so I guess there's no problem.

Okay, I got stuck and need help. Just started chapter 3 or 4, can't remember.
Nayuta's sister fell ill or something and I gotta do something. Already talked to everyone in town and checked every place I could go but still no dice. (Even found Michey)
Noi isn't with me so I guess I have to find her. What do I have to do?

You need to talk to Volans at the museum in order to figure out what's needed to cure her. That will get the gears turning in Nayuta's head. If you've already talked to him, you should be able to proceed straight to Heinmel.

!!! I never realized there was a different ending. Is there a YouTube video of it? Even Hard mode was too hard for me, so I never bothered completing the game on other skill levels. -Tom It's more of an extremely short extra fanservice-y sequel to the ending, actually. xD I never searched for videos of it on YouTube. Lemme look, but if I fail to find any, I can record it myself one of these days on Stream and show it to you. *searched* Okay, no one put it up online, from what I saw. I wonder why, as I spotted some Happy/Pleasure and Crazy Mode unrelated videos. I'll post here again once I record a Stream showing it.

Yup, (Gurumin spoilers) Even the only "bad" thing about it, which is Motoro, despite being visible for Hyperbolic thanks to the paint, not being able to be heard by Hyperbolic due to him not being a kid anymore, isn't bad at all, since Motoro can use his famous boards to write on to talk to him. xD It's kickass and awesome how Puku and Motoro found a way back into the human world to be with Parin/Hyperbolic! As if all else wasn't already awesome as is! Gurumin has the best ending of all time.

I noticed the Mastiff site is still up last time I checked, but based on the other games they published, Gurumin sticks out almost like it's weird that they would take it on. Looking at it now anyway. I'm really glad they did such a good job with it! Also, the gurumin.us site doesn't exist anymore. In my opinion XSEED should be the official publisher for Falcom outside Japan. Unless Falcom actually begins translating or localizing games on their own, which doesn't seem likely.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I figured I'd ask here;
I'm on Chapter 5, I believe. I met up with Noi, went up to the central tower, and now I need get a new Gear Craft I assume. So I went to the volcano area's new spring stages, which I assume is where I need to be, but...
/How/ in the world do you get past the first stage? There's an area at the beginning with a lake, and a platform placed far to the left. The gap is way too far to jump. Even with a double jump and an air roll. How do I get past this area? Am I missing an ability or something?
Edit: Ahahahaha! I figured it out. I totally forgot about Noi's barrier ability that lets you walk on water/lava since I had put the game down for a long while before I started playing again. Welp!

You might be surprised to learn I've completed this game. Or then again, maybe not. This is the second game in the Kiseki series that I've completed. And it's the first game that I've ever played through to the end in Japanese that doesn't have an English version. The first was XSEED's PSP version of Trails in the Sky. My Japanese ability is coming along, but it's still not very comfortable for me to play games in Japanese. The key was to figure out where objectives are written, and then just make sure I understand what objectives are asking. Also, I can read some simpler Japanese, and objectives are generally written in this simpler Japanese. This game has some key differences from other Kiseki games. -It's an action RPG. This is the big one. I like action games more, which is probably why I like this game more than Trails in the Sky. -Uses easier Japanese in general. The characters spend lots of time talking about how they are feeling. And not so much on exposition. In the other Kiseki games, I feel like more time is spent talking about exposition, which is harder Japanese to read, for sure. Also, not too many characters use super-polite Japanese, which is hard for me to read. They sure have a lot of tracks for this soundtrack. It's a shame there's no music test mode in the game. So they have given you Ys-style "exploration themes." And they have written sixteen of them - one for each continent / season combination, which is either three or four levels long. It keeps things feeling fresh, as you may have noticed from playing the Ys games. I tend to dislike BGMs that play during events (every game), and this one is no exception, so I'll not comment any further. I also liked the BGMs that play during boss fights. They have several of them, I think four or five. The actual game play system - it sure has a lot of moving parts. By the time you can access all of them, the game is around 2/3 of the way through. I like that you can access all of them from the start on your second playthrough, which makes things more fun, as well helps you progress much quicker than on your initial playthrough. I particularly enjoyed using Noi's abilities, because they are easy to use and they are very generous with how often you're able to use them. I enjoyed playing through the levels. Most levels are well designed. I like that you don't need to mess with the camera. It makes things nice for the player. I like that they reward the player for finding the three crystals and chest in each level, because it encourages the player to explore the levels. I dislike many of the missions because I feel that most of the time they are not difficult enough or not fun enough. "Destroy objects" missions in particular. Every single boss in the entire game is the Turns Red mechanic that you may be familiar with from the Ys series. More info here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TurnsRed . I died on a couple bosses playing on normal, but retries (on bosses) are free as in the Ys series. I dislike the Turns Red mechanic, but it doesn't annoy me as much here as it did in Ys Seven because you have so much more health to work with (relative to boss damage). The idea of the sub-menu is a really good one. The game would be much less fun if you had to walk everywhere. Thankfully, you don't, thanks to the location movement buttons on the sub-menu. As for the story, I can't say I really enjoyed it. Maybe it is due to the lack of Japanese ability. I've never liked Falcom stories (Trails in the Sky was an exception to this for me). For this game, it's like one Deus Ex Machina after the next, though everything does resolve at the end (albeit in a Deus Ex Machina way). Overall, I enjoyed the time I spent with this game, and it's probably the best of the Kiseki series for you if your Japanese isn't the best and you like action RPGs. ------------- To satisfy everyone's idle curiosity: In Nayuta no Kiseki there are: 15,579 opcodes with text in them 29,862 lines with text in them -Name lines are not counted -Blank lines are not counted 361,549 characters (assumes two bytes per character)

Playing through Nayuta currently. I really like how expressive the pseudo-chibi character models' faces are compared to Sen no Kiseki character models. I don't even mind the lack of 2D portraits next to dialog box in Nayuta because the 3D models convey so much emotions already. I wish Sen had Gurumin/Nayuta/Zwei 2's character model or kept 2D portraits. Overall it's a great action game that feels like another exciting adventure like Ys Seven. Falcom even brought back the almighty downthrust of death and destruction from Napishtim system Ys games too! Too bad you can't Noi magic cancel downthrust to speedkill everything .

At one point, Noi says the tower is 50,000 alge tall.
I've seen this thing before. In Zero no Tsukami (light novel), the narrator, and more rarely, the characters, use "mails" as a unit of distance to make it seem more fantastic, when it's really just a meter.
I just have to say: 50,000 alge is an enormously huge distance: 50km, which in terms of altitude, is 1/3 of the way to low earth orbit. It seems like a mistake, or maybe I'm mistaken in that an alge is smaller than a meter.

There's also rige and selge. 100 rige = 1 arge, 100 arge = 1 selge And 1 arge, as Falcom has confirmed with the other Kiseki titles, actually is 1 meter. This is one of several carry overs from the other games. Not all of the measurements in Falcom's games are exact. I can't remember the measurement exactly, but a kremelai in Ys is like... 1.2-something kilometers.

Nayuta no kiseki is a great game created for Falcom currently playing the game, right now i'm playing the after story , when i finished the 1st part i was shocked because i thought it was the final of the game and i didnt get everything in the game right now i having problem to find a museum item the body of the terodactyl fosil anyone knows where a can find it?
