Well, there's a lot of people who are going to get spoiled on big SC/3rd twists without any of the buildup or payoff in the original game. I wonder, do they realize that the OVA makes close to no sense to people who haven't played the first game (and was clearly aimed at people familiar with the entire trilogy)?

Posters at the Fandom Post have pointed out a certain confusion over exactly what is the name of the release, based on the PR. If anyone is attending Anime Expo this weekend, you can ask David Williams of Sentai on what details he can say about this news.

Hm, I don't see how "Zemulia" is incorrect, though? Although I'm no Tails guy.

XSEED uses Zemuria and you'd think that for convenience if nothing else they'd use the proper name translations that already exist. Also, Zemuria is reminiscent of Lemuria, which may or may not have been intentional on Falcom's part. Heck, for whatever it's worth it's even the romanization Falcom uses whenever it comes up.
Anyhow, that's a minor quibble that can be excused as an l/r thing. Swapping the word order in the title is a bit harder to justify since The Legend of Heroes has been used as long as the series has been around and rolls off the tongue better anyways.
Moving past the title, I do kinda wonder if they missed the memo about what this OVA is exactly. Their press release makes it sound like it's a retelling of the first game when in fact it pays as little attention to the plot of FC as is humanly possible in its rush to throw bits and pieces of SC at the audience. They also seem to have a strange idea on what Crafts are, criminally undervalue the bastion of awesomeness that is the Royal Army and use a different definition of 'produce' than anything I'm aware of...

I see. It sounds like they are bringing that over simply because it sold well (or at least I'm assuming so) in Japan and that's it.
If I were a Trails fan, I'd flood their mails. Literally. Depending on how serious you are, you could spam different mail accounts, modify each message here and there, but never stop spamming. Else the secretary or whatever random worker receiving the e-mail will just ignore it, very much likely. Otherwise he/she will perhaps bring it up to the big guys behind the release.

Or if anyone has some time, find out original Japanese licensor and ask them politely to see if they have any concerns about how Sentai is translating and/or writing the script for the OVA. Since most anime licenses require the American license holder to submit the translation and if there is one, the script, for final Japanese approval.
I do wonder if Sentai got the license to the OVA because it was part of a licensing package that contained titles they were going after, and OVA included as a required extra Houston had to get besides what they wanted. Given some of the more byzantine nature of Japan-to-US licensing, it would not be surprising.
Any more changes got revealed?

Someone should make a template letter we can send to Sentai citing all the things that are IMPORTANT for the English Version of the Kiseki Universe!
Then we can send the links and letter to our friends and have everyone spam them.

Then we can send the links and letter to our friends and have everyone spam them. You might want to rethink that approach. Doing it like that is a good way to insure all missives Sentai receives on the topic end up in the trash bin. Individual, polite emails or posts covering the points will go a long way to getting your message across without it being automatically trashed. C.T.

A simple answer: yes. - It is (at present) Japanese-only. - XSEED is contemplating an English PC release on Steam.

Has anyone seen even a tentative release date for this yet? It is in the solicitation for the title: 12/18/2012. The solicitation itself was sent out as part of Sentai's announcements on December releases. C.T.

A bit more information was released on the OVA. Scans of the back cover show that the OVA has an in-house Sentai dub, instead of using whatever studio XSEED used. ADR director is Steve Foster.

Does the box pretend that the OVA is based on the first game like all their promotional blurbs or did someone finally get a clue?
