And I'm wondering how the copy of Ys 1+2 Chronicles DS is. I played it via emulator when it came out at first, and I'd like to play it again, but legally this time.
I don't remember a thing about it, all I wanna know is does Adol actually attack, or do you run into enemies like the NES/PC version?

You can use the bump system (but only with the stylus) or the attack button. Thing is, it's horribly implemented. That plus a lackluster translation plus the downgraded graphics and unimpressive attempt to make them look 3d, removed easter eggs, removed Over Drive and the ill-conceived idea that was Bagyu Badead make it the last version of I-II that I'd recommend to anyone who hasn't already played another version first to see how Falcom meant the game to be experienced.

I thought I read somewhere that it had the most accurate translation. I can't remember where I read that though. I haven't played it myself on account of hearing the controls sucked.

I see... is there any chance of any Falcom titles coming to the 3DS, then?
(( Or are there any really good third-party games for the 3DS that aren't made by Crapcom? I already have Tales of the Abyss. ))

Ahh. I think that is what I must have read. So is the translation lackluster as Yotaka says.
