The user named narugami_kun posted this interview in GameFAQs website in the forum for Celceta. This interview contains pretty interesting information not just about Celceta but about Ys series as whole so I think it warrants enough merit to post it here: news.dengeki.com/elem/000/000/549/549798/There's a minor spoiler here and there, but it shouldn't be much of a problem. If you can read Japanese and have played Celceta, then you should definitely take a look at it. If not, just use google translate and you should be able to read most of it. I actually agree with Kondo regarding the ending of Celceta. I have seen a lot of people complaining about the overall story and ending, but I think it's a good thing that they decided to cut them short. If anything, I disliked the dialogue-heavy part at the beginning with Comodu and Selray. As Kondo says, Adol is an adventurer who comes and leaves as soon as his job in the area is done. The story of land is up to people who live in there. I really like the fact that they put emphasis on Adol's exploration and his "awakening" as an adventurer rather than trying to tell some epic tale.
The idea of older Adol with the voice of Solid Snake is pretty amusing even though that would be very unlikely to happen. Still it's good to hear they have already started working on a new Ys game. Apparently, a lot of people are asking for jump mechanic to be implemented. Considering Kondo in another interview mentioned Gravity Daze as one of the games he admires in current generation, I think we can expect to see jump mechanic in the next Ys game.
