That was one of my first games... or at least a really, really memorable birthday present (along with the "Raiders of the Lost Harp" VHS). Capcom and WayForward team up yet again?! Friggin' sweet!

I so hope the NES music is brought back and arranged! That or at least make the original music available to play with. All the Disney/Capcom NES games were so awesome. We were Ducktales freaks growing up. One of my brothers created some amazing Ducktales art back in the day.

Does this also mean MOON THEME + JAKE "VIRT" KAUFMAN for the music!? Don't let us down Capcom. I can't imagine the game not featuring all the original stage themes, arranged or otherwise. There would be virtual riots in the streets! Did you hear Kaufman's Adventure Time game music? RULES!!! click

I second this! Virt kicks serious ass!
Just imagine... if they do well, what if Wayforward did something with the Megaman franchise? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but looking at Mighty Switch Force -- most notably the action bits, and Shantae as well, I seriously think they could pull it off.
Oh wait, this is Capcom, I really can't get too far ahead of myself here. I'm crossing my fingers that they're not gonna defile another one of my grand childhood memories with yet another cancellation.

94! Damn, I hope I hope I am that with it when/if I reach that age! : )
Again, I can't wait for this! I'm a huge WayForward fan anyway and they never fail to please.
Shantae Shantae: Risky's Revenge Mighty Flip Champs Mighty Milky Way A Boy and His Blob Mighty Switch Force Aliens: Infestation Adventure Time
They really know how to make some great 2D games!
Also, there is a rumor out there about Capcom developing a new Mega Man game. So that might be something to hold onto. Sure wish it could be Mega Man Legends 3.

This really is pretty amazing. According to the Siliconera article about it, the game's art was all drawn by some of the original artists from the cartoon, most of the original voice cast has returned to reprise their roles, and yes, Virt is arranging the NES soundtrack + peppering in some original tracks of his own. Oh, and there's an added mode where you get to swim around in Scrooge's money bin. It's pretty much the perfect resurrection of Duck Tales -- a real love letter to fans, both of the original game and the original show. But then, I'd expect no less of WayForward. They're freaking ON FIRE lately -- Double Dragon Neon was a pretty unprecedented reboot with some of Virt's best music to date. I really, really love those guys. -Tom Wayforward keeps impressing me. Loved DD Neon, & yes, gotta be some of Virt's best work! Virt's gonna have a blast redoing the music! Actually, Ducktales is one of the games that I've often thought about remaking for the Turbo, with me doing the music, though I'd obviously need a programmer & sprite/tile artist that would be interested in the project.....& I'd need the time from my other projects.

i like the nes one alot for strider it had some charm and a very lengthy campain which the arcade did not have though it was programmed funny with alot of technical issues i would not mind a remake of that. I am certain it will be the arcade version or maybe some sort re-invisionment or sequel however.

I'd be down for Castle of Illusion AND Strider remakes -- though I kind of hope, probably futilely, that if they remake Strider, they remake the NES version, not the arcade/Genesis version. Because that NES Strider, for as wonky as it may have been, was a freaking AMAZING game back in the day, and was far superior to its 16-bit counterpart IMHO. -Tom Quoted for truth! I almost nabbed the PSX Strider, but when I realized that the included remake was of the Arcade/Genesis version, I was honestly a little disappointed and am thankful that I didn't. 94! Damn, I hope I hope I am that with it when/if I reach that age! : ) Again, I can't wait for this! I'm a huge WayForward fan anyway and they never fail to please. Shantae Shantae: Risky's Revenge Mighty Flip Champs Mighty Milky Way A Boy and His Blob Mighty Switch Force Aliens: Colonial Marines Adventure Time They really know how to make some great 2D games! Also, there is a rumor out there about Capcom developing a new Mega Man game. So that might be something to hold onto. Sure wish it could be Mega Man Legends 3. -Thomas Also quoted for truth! The only one of those I haven't played is Aliens: Colonial Marines. Speaking of Shantae, I hope WayForward ports or remakes the original -- it was AWESOME! Unfortunately it's also quite rare, and quite expensive! Not to mention, Risky's Revenge is due for a sequel, as well. Darn cliffhangers! If there's a reason a new Mega Man game is a rumor (and not yet announced), then it's probably that Capcom realizes their rabid fans are gritting their teeth since the fact that every official MegaMan game announcement recently has only met with disaster. Should they choose to unveil it, they risk further aggravating and disappointing MegaFans, while also opening themselves to further criticism by those who are already aggravated and disappointed by MegaMan's cancellations. Also: Dark Void Zero was awesome, however short. There has to be more where that came from! On topic: If Adventure Time is anything to go by with regard to their use of voice samples for DuckTales, I will probably laugh my butt off the first time Scrooge takes collision damage.

Aliens: Infestation was the game I meant. Colonial Marines is a 3rd Person Shooter from Gearbox. Anyhow, infestation is a pretty interesting game. It's not the best game ever, but it is a very authentic game for fans of the series down to the look, feel and sound of all the classic weapons like the pulse rifle. You play as a handful of Marines on the USS Sulaco after Ripley jettisoned the Queen out of the Airlock. Apparently the Queen brought some pals along for the ride and the ship has been taken over. It feels like a decent-enough sequel plotwise that was a very enjoyable Metroidvania experience. While I didn't like this concept at first, I grew to love this, WayForward did not make this experience easy enough to where you could just finish the game without the loss of your marines as well. When a Marine dies, someone will be there to take his place (if you have enough left since there are only 4 at a time). This is something that gives extra realism and authenticity to how it was in the film. I love the film, so I'm very biased. It's my second favorite movie of all time so... That and the the Aliens theme song at the end is so completely worth it. It's Perfect! Shantae is supposed to be released on 3DS eShop Virtual Consoles at some point and I have heard that there is a sequel perhaps in the works for Risky's Revenge and possibly a title for the Wii U as well! -Thomas

So much voice acting too! Not only will it be a fantastic remake graphically, but it will offer a true lost Ducktales episode experience. I really should watch my Ducktakes DVDs soon, I've got all 3 seasons. They were pretty cheap too! : ) Oh man, wouldn't it be great if WayForward did a remake of Rescue Rangers for NES too! Man, I played the hell out of that game growing up. @wyrd: I'm a huge Goonies fan and I definitely would love to see a Goonies game from WayForward as well. Now, while this is more of a remake of Goonies 1, there technically is a Goonies 3 for the most part. Check out "Goonies r' Good Enough" by Kralizec for MSX. I loved it and thought it was the most authentic Goonies game based on the movie. Here's a pic of it along with a replica Map, Compass an Copperbones set and my Goonies T-Shirt: The game is pretty different from the original and adds a great deal that was missing from the original Konami version, that and you get to play as all of the Goon kids. Also, Cyndi Lauper makes a guest cameo appearance in the game if you can find her. : ) -Thomas

Well what you see in the photo there isn't really a special edition or anything. It's the original release of the game "Goonies r' Good Enough" showing the black box it comes in, the cart, and the manual. The cartridge is special though in that it has it's own SCC-I chip inside it to emulate Konami's famous SCC sound along with FM sound or PSG sound depending on the MSX hardware you are running it on. Kralizec was nice enough to include 3 versions of the game on the cart, an MSX1 version, MSX2 version, and the Turbo R version. It's a bit difficult to order nowadays, but Rob Hiep of Sunrise for MSX still had some in stock even though the distribution of this cartridge from the original source, "MSX Cartrdige Shop" has ended for some time. If you're interested in getting one, I'd email Rob from the contact email on his website. Be warned though, that Rob can take awhile to respond, and can take awhile to ship goods out, but he'll come through in the end. The other stuff in the photo are replicas that were made and sold online. I got my set on eBay. Usually it comes with the map, copper bones key and compass gold doubloon. The shirt was something bought elsewhere as well. -Thomas

Also, there is some sort of Strider coming to PSN/XBL/WW, got this off Magicbox: "Official Xbox website has leaked a new XBLA title Strider from Capcom earlier, and it was removed shortly after. It is uncertain whether it is a HD remake of the classic title or a new installment."
