I've spent over 150USD to buy a new copy of Ys1+2 PC from a buying agent, however when I received my item I found that the copy is NOT brand new (No shrink-wrapped) the agent tells me it's brand new, and that it's not supposed to be factory sealed. yeah right. I feel so really, really, hurt right now. I think that I should just order Ys1+2 PC from Falcom instead. my question is: [ Will Falcom ship me a Brand New Shrink-wrapped copy of the game? ]for those of you who have ordered PC games from Falcom before, did you received them in Brand New Shrink-wrapped condition? Please help me you guys! I feel really really hurting right now and I just....I just want a shrink-wrapped factory sealed copy of the game....is that so much to ask? Please let me know and thank you! I really really appreciate your help! thank you so much for telling me!

I've ordered the following items directly from Falcom: Legend of Heroes VI: Sora no Kiseki FC, SC and the Third bundle, Ys I & II Chronicles PC and Zwei II+ and I believe that they did all arrived sealed. If they hadn't, I think it would have made me wonder. They are not sealed anymore since I've since opened them, but I do not think that they originally came this way. I'm not "fully" sure about Ys I & II Chronicles since it's packaged in a glossy cardboard box that is not as thick as some of the other previous Popular edtions of their PC games that had very hard plastic/cardboard-type cases, such as Ys Origin and Ys I & II Complete, and Zwei II. Anyway, the Ys I & II Chronicles box has a manual inside and an additional plastic case that houses the DVD disc. This is a standard modern PC game computer case for this.
Not sure specifically which version of Ys I & II you were ordering, but it's likely that it too would have been sealed.
Hope this helps!

OH GOD THANK YOU! i ordered the old Ys1+2 Vista edition (NOT Ys Chronicle) that a buying agent himself was helping me to order in Japan, WE DID NOT ordered from Falcom, WE ordered from external auction directly. he doubled checked the listing which was listed as Brand NEW, but it seems when he received the item it was not brand new, but used, the manual is missing, but he just decided to send it to me anyways. and i paid. 168USD Total with shipping. I just don't want to get burn again but thank you so much for reassuring me! and don't worry i won't blame anyone or anything because I know there's no guarantee for anything but if you ordered so many stuff from Falcom before I guess I could give it a try too I guess. thanks for letting me know man!

No problem, but as a general rule if you are ordering something new for the sake of getting it in absolute "pristine" or "mint" condition, you can't go wrong ordering it straight from the original vendor as a new item, if they are still offering it and it isn't out of print yet. Same goes for anything you might order from XSEED if you were looking for one of their Falcom releases brand new and complete. I think it might have actually ended up being cheaper if you had ordered it new from Falcom, even with shipping included. Are you familiar with Falcom's special offers? Check this link out sometimes and maybe you can get a good deal. I think I ordered both Chronicles and Zwei II+ for around 5000 or 6000 yen at the time and the shipping was only $30-40 USD. There's details of how to go about placing an order in this thread about it here. It used to be regularly updated, but not so much anymore. -Thomas
