I've seen the touch controls (touch screen and rear touch panel) described as "optional". Are there button commands that you can use instead for the functions that touching provides?
I'm mainly asking because I don't know how they're going to integrate the touch stuff into the new PS Vita TV device, and I'd like to play this game without any touch stuff at all on it.

Thank you, Wyrdwad.
I'm looking forward to more information about the supposed limited touchscreen functionality. Your post is the only place where I found any information about it
Either way, I'll be getting the game at launch. You guys rock too much to not get it, even if I can't play it right away!

Apparently YsCelceta will be compatible with the PS Vita TV (at least the Japanese version) according to sources.

What if a patch, or update was released? If there are only a few "touch screen only" puzzles, I imagine it would be easier to update Ys Celceta than, say, Gravity Rush.

Interesting... this was EXACTLY what I was wondering about as well regarding YsC and the Vita TV. Please keep us posted, Tom. It seemed like the perfect solution for me, if only it has "Ys of Use". (snicker) -Thomas

This is my first time hearing about the vita tv. This is the route I'm hoping to take as well now.

Hopefully this ends up being wrong, but there are currently no plans to bring the vita tv to the US or Europe.
