Hi, guys! So, I've been playing through Zwei 2 Plus, and absolutely loving it (despite not knowing a single word of Japanese). Now, I'm just about to tackle what I assume to be the final dungeon, have gotten Dark Magic, and want to tackle the Lv. 99 dungeons before I complete the game, however I have a couple of questions before I do. My first question is this: I'm trying to search for the Blade Gear/Gear F, but can't seem to find where it's located. I've even completed up to Level 4 of the ski minigame, trying to see if maybe you get the gear as a reward, but I got nothing. So, what up? Is it located in one of the Lv. 99 dungeons?
My second question involves what happens after I finish the game. Is there a sort of New Game +, like with Zwei?
Finally, I want to know what separates Zwei 2 from Zwei 2 Plus. Is it just a compatibility patch, or is there an actual difference in content between the two versions?
If anyone could help me figure any of these questions out, I'd be very grateful.
Edit: Also, does anyone know how to get the fairy pet? The various walkthroughs I've attempted to Google Translate my way through have said that it's somewhere in the Golden Dark Forest. Where exactly is it?

You get the F Parts from a trading sequence that starts after you finish Starry Ridge. The full sequence can be found here. If you can't read Japanese, the first column is the area the character is found, the second is the character you need to talk to, with their location in parentheses, and the third column is the item you get from them. You can only do the second half of the trading sequence after Luna Mundus. To answer your second question, yes, there is a new game plus. If you have Zwei II+, you can get access to a new weapon and pet (both from the colosseum, if memory serves), you can fast forward through cutscenes by holding either accept or cancel (can't remember which), you carry over monster figures, monster data, people data, and music. Pet levels also carry over, although you have to reacquire the actual pets. You also get money based on your hunter rank and food based on how many treasures you turned into the museum. Treasure is easy: for up to 23 treasures, you get one each of all level one foods, 24-35 for level two, 36-47 for level 3, and all 48 for level four, which provides enough XP to get you to level 28, if I've done my math correctly. Hunter rank is more complicated. It's based on medals, 10 points for platinum down to 7 for bronze. In normal stages, there are three criteria: time spent, pots and haniwa destroyed, and damage taken. For platinum in a stage, you need to beat the goal time, destroy every pot and haniwa in the stage, and take no damage. For boss platinums, you can refight them in the monster gallery, and you need to beat the goal time, not use any food during the fight, and take no damage (good luck!). You also get a platinum medal for clearing the floor 20 boss on the bonus dungeon and another for beating level 4 of the skiing minigame. Unless you miraculously get fast, no damage clears on the final bosses, you're unlikely to get max rank on your first playthrough, as you can't access the refights for those bosses until NG+. If you get everything else, though, you should be second highest, which get you 2,000,000 penne when you start up. At max rank, which is all platinums, you get 10,000,000. For content exclusive to Zwei II+, there's the weapon and pet I mentioned earlier, along with the fast forwarding on NG+. There are two new costumes, a harder version of the bonus dungeon, some dungeon rebalancing, and some extra content in the colosseum. For your last question, the fairy pet is bought from the three fairies that appear at the very entrance to the forest at some point. I can't remember for sure, but I think you might need to find the fairies in the various areas they appear before you gain access to the actual dungeons there in order for them to open up the shop. I can't actually remember where they show up, unfortunately, so I suggest just going around to each area of the game between completing each set of dungeons in an area. That's the best way to make sure you finish your people memo, too, although there are a few tricky ones where even that's not enough. Hopefully that answers all your questions. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. It's been a while since I've actually played through the game.

Oh my god, thank you so much! Now everything's coming together. I just wish you could get the muscle gear and Penguin pet w/o New Game Plus. I was afraid that was the case, though, since I didn't see the slots for those equipment pieces (or the two extra costumes) in my inventory. (Well, I thought either that or the official site was lying to me; hence why I felt the need to confirm) Also, Hunter Rank is based on MEDALS? Dammit, now I'm gonna have to go back and clear all of the dungeons w/o taking damage. I thought Hunter Rank was based off the amount of unknown chests you brought back to the guild. Thanks for clearing that up. It's quite nice to know that I don't need to find ALL of the chests. Edit:I'm NOT WORRIED about the final bosses. Why? I'm MASSIVELY OVERLEVELED (Level 40 (Edit 2: Level 50 now)) and took down the bosses in Lunar Mundus in less than ten seconds each. (Montblanc was harder the first time I fought him, in my opinion). I will WRECK THEM.

Even though you don't need all the treasures for max hunter rank, I advise getting them if only because having a full set of the best foods in the game at the very beginning of a playthrough is really handy.
Also, as far as getting platinums in the dungeons, your best bet most of the time is to equip the Older Sister's Tenugui. It makes your magic not cost any MP when your health is full, and since you'll be going for no damage clears, your health should always be full. Makes taking out enemies from a distance super easy, minimizing the risk of getting nicked accidentally. With that, the anti-trap and anti-bomb accessories, and the fast forward ring from the fairy shop, you should have a fairly easy time getting platinums.
Also, holy crap, congratulations on getting to level 50. The XP required for any level above 30 is just absurd, so I haven't bothered yet.

It takes TEN MILLION XP, just for the jump between Lv. 49 and 50. All in all, I don't think it's really worth it if you aren't planning on going through the Dream Labyrinths (I believe that's what the Lv. 99 Dungeons are called?) and even then you'll be fine going through at Lv. 30+ if you are good at conserving food, although the enemies and bosses take pretty big beatings. Also, just an fyi: Falcom is a bunch of liars, labeling the labyrinths with Lv. 99 when Level 50 is the max. Although that's probably the point.
Edit: Also, what's the deal with the secret room that's filled with unlit light switches at the end of the mountain gear section? Nevermind, figured that one out as well. You have to enter the room when the (actual) time is 15, 30, 45, or zero minutes past the hour, the kick the crap out of the enemy that spawns there.

So, I realized I accidentally tossed some inaccurate and incomplete information in here, so I'm going to clear that up a bit. I'm gonna stick this all behind a spoiler just in case people don't want super detailed information on this. First of all, here's a conclusive list of what carries over in NG+: pet levels, monster and people memos, figurines, music collection, and colosseum progress. This is all pretty self-explanatory except the last bit. What that last one means is that as soon as you talk to Lotte, the lady at the desk in the colosseum, for the first time in NG+, you'll get all the unique items you won for defeating people in the colosseum last time. Very handy.
Important things you don't carry over in NG+: items (excluding figurines and the CD), food, money, hunter points/medals/rank, treasures collected. The last two in particular kiiiiiiind of suck, since there's a lot of handy accessories you get from hunter rank, and some of the treasures are a huge pain to get.
NG+ bonuses: As mentioned above, you get money based on your hunter rank and food based on how many treasures you turn in. That information, at least, was fully accurate. You also have access to all the boss refight arcade machines as soon as you can access the colosseum again, so you can get platinums on all the boss fights before you even fight them for the first time.
Bonus content exclusive to Zwei II+ NG+: Muscle Gear, Penguin pet, one new armor each (that change your costumes and give incredible stat boosts), new bonus dungeon Dream Labyrinth II, the ability to pay money to the kappa to make the stupid skiing minigame easier, a level plate added to the boss refight arcade area (which allows you to fight harder versions of all the bosses), event movie skip (confirmed to work with attack or cancel once you're a few seconds into the movie), event movie fast forward (using the ctrl key on your keyboard, can't assign a controller button to it sadly), a new set of 58 character figurines which you buy gashapon style from the colosseum (which means they're random and can repeat >_<) for 20000 penne each, and finally, a survival mode at the colosseum which I haven't unlocked yet, but I'm assuming it unlocks once you beat all the challengers again. In the survival mode, you have to fight all of the challengers in a row. Good luck.
Now for some details, and here's where I got some stuff wrong. First of all, the Muscle Gear. You don't actually buy this directly. You get it by obtaining all 58 of the new figurines. Thankfully, they're counted separately from monster figurines, so you don't need to get all of those, too. I strongly recommend waiting until endgame for this. The accessory you get for the second highest hunter rank, at 450 points, cuts all shop prices in half, and you're going to need a whole lot of money or luck to get all the figurines. Second, the penguin pet. You don't buy this, rather, it's a prize for winning survival mode at the colosseum. I think that covers all I got incorrect above.
Here's the lowdown on the rest. Ragna's new armor, the Demon Jacket, you get by defeating all the boss refights using the Level Plate G. You'll get a crown logo on each machine after you beat the boss to remind you which you've completed. For Alwen's armor, the Pinky Star, you need to defeat the boss of the 40th floor of all four of the Dream Labyrinth IIs. You'll get parts of the armor from each boss. These armors are both incredible, giving +9 defense and +9 attack/magic depending on the character. Incredibly powerful.
As for accessing Dream Labyrinth II, I believe you use the same entrances as for the normal Dream Labyrinth, and it's unsealed when you get access to the final dungeon. Sorry for the lack of detail, there's not many Japanese guides for Z2+, or hell, just ZII, and I don't remember when everything unlocks in the first playthrough and it's still early days on the second.

Yeah, your spoilers got it right. And it takes quite a bit of gacha runs to get all the figurines, so be prepared to blow a lot of cash, if I remember correctly.
Someday I may go back and finish my lv1 run of Zwei 2, or just finish tweaking the difficulty for a very hard mode, sadly normal play isn't too difficult except when going for platinums on a boss or two.

Yeah, your spoilers got it right. And it takes quite a bit of gacha runs to get all the figurines, so be prepared to blow a lot of cash, if I remember correctly. I ended up just saving and reloading over and over again when getting all the figurines just to save money. By the time I got down to the last few, I was going well over a hundred tries between each new figure, so even with the gallant mask cutting the price in half, it would have taken an absurd amount of money. I've finally gotten most of the content in the game complete now, though. I just need to do the levelled up boss refights and finish getting platinums on everything. I've got probably about 2/3rds of the boss platinums done and about half the stage platinums, so it shouldn't take too long hopefully. Really not looking forward to trying to no-damage the final boss, though. I'd like to finish getting everything this summer while I still have time. Nursing school starts back up in August, and then I'll have basically no free time for probably the better part of a year.

Hey guys, I've been playing Zwei 2 for a while now. I'm still yet to find the light and dark skill for an all out attack. You know, that attack you charge up for for both characters? I've gotten the other 5. Anyone know how to handle that? Do let me know. And thanks for all the info you guys have provided here. I've been looking for a lot of the info you guys have stated here! Thanks for making this thread. I hope it's still active.

Thanks for making this thread. I hope it's still active. You get the ougi for the light magic by beating level 3 of Kappa Field (the minigame that you can pay the kappa in the shinobi village to play). Then you can get the ougi for the dark magic by completing the Earth Dream Labyrinth in Secundum Mine (the first dungeon). Sadly, unless you're playing Zwei II+ and can pay the kappa to make the minigame easier after you fail a whole bunch, the minigame is likely going to be the harder of the two. If you are playing the plus version, then the minigame is easy once you pay enough money. You have to fail the level you want to make easier a bunch of times (either five or ten, I don't remember), and then you get the option to pay to make it easier. You can repeat this multiple times to keep making the stage you're on even easier, with it costing more each time, but honestly, it's pretty cheap even after three times, which was the most I needed to pass any of the four levels. You have to fail the course the same number of times between each payment, though, which is annoying, but you can just give up on the race immediately, which counts as a failure and is way faster than actually running the course.
