Giga pack? You'll regret it! Only 1 GB which is totally not enough. Also: I installed 3.10OE-A2... a mistake. Barely runs homebrew.

Mine arrived today from Amazon. Got it on its own, need to buy a memory stick now.
Oh, and it's version 2.71. So yay.

If you haven't got a 2.71 downgrader yet, you can use this easy downgrader. Just follow the wizard and it'll do everything for you. Downgrader2.71FULL.exe

IT TALKS!
Thanks though. I take it you need a USB cable for the linking up part though, right? Am I going to need a memory stick for this too?

yeah, you need a USB-B cable. thankfully my TI84 Texas Instrument calculator uses the same cable so i just use that. and you need a memory stick for software upgrade or a downgrader software. thats all i know.

Do you have a 4 GB stick? I have Gurumin, Ys VI and Burnout Legends on my 2GB stick. Gurumin takes a whole gigabyte. I tried compressing it (got it down to 800) but it didn't want to run after that.

I got all of those games compressed and on my 4gb mem stick... AND Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony!
225mbs to spare.
I'm running Gurumin as a CSO compressed with level 9 (maximum compression). No issues.

Nice, I'll try compressing some of my games as well, haven't tried to convert anything to CSO. Know of any good tools for this?

DaxTer creator Let me see if I can find any working link >.< (If not I'll upload it myself) EDIT: www.megaupload.com/es/?d=WX0RN30BIt's in Spanish, but I think you can change the language in the settings section, correct me if I'm wrong.

seems to be Spanish-only, but I believe I can work my way through anyway. Edit: Gah. Okay, how exactly does one go about getting the PSP to load these compressed files, anyway? The same way that uncompressed ones (just be sure to use .cso compression, dax is not supported yet), put them in the ISO folder.

All righty... it loads the ISO loader, but it just goes to a black screen when I try to start a game. I must be missing something. What method are you using to load it? Custom firmware? What version? No-umd enabled? (By the way, I've provided more screenshots on the snes topic !)

I use DAX UMD Dumper to extract the game data as an ISO, and then PSP Compressor 1.4 to turn the ISOs into CSOs with max (level 9) compression.
No problems yet.

This always seems to happen to me, I just picked up Gurumin yesterday evening only to browse through the newspaper this morning to find that Fry's Electronics has it on sale for $10 less than the MSRP. I really hate when this happens, I just picked it up from Gamestop too. Oh well it's happened to me a million other times, might as well let this one slide also.

Ok, just got a PSP finally! And, I'm noticing a blue vertical line on the right side of the screen, mainly when the background is white. Am I screwed? Is that a line of dead pixels? I bought it used, so, I'm not sure what to do. PLEASE HELP!

Try taking it back to the shop, get a replacement or your money back. i think they are dead pixels.
