Hi dear Falcom fans ! Hope you're doing good I may be in the wrong topic, but I wanted to talk about the new Popolocrois game which was announced on 3DS. I came back here as soon as I heard about the game (so approximately 10 minutes ago ). For those who don't know about it, it will be a Harvest Moon-like game, developped by Marvelous (explaining why the game isn't on a Sony console), which will take place in a world called Galariland, in which Pietro will have to fight... evil things, with the help of Narcia and the white knight of course, but also... Gami Gami Devil. Yeah. And, as a Harvest Moon game, Pietro will also have to exploit a field and make things grow, helping him and his team in their journey. Don't know how this will be implemented in the quest (I haven't played any HM games so far), but I think they know what they're doing. You can hear more things about the game here for example ( www.siliconera.com/2014/12/04/popolocrois-farm-story-takes-us-journey-new-land/link). The game is set for june 28th, 2015 in Japan, and I really really really, really hope we'll be able to play it in an understandable language ! \o/ And sorry of I'm on a wrong topic ! But I hope I'm not the only one interessed in the game ! ^^

I'm also very, very interested, as you might imagine! But also very, very weirded out by this. It's PopoloCrois... mixed with Bokujo Monogatari... on a Nintendo system (despite the property being owned by Sony, or so I thought!). It raises so very, very many questions! Seems like Yousuke Tamori is planning to resurrect the franchise altogether, though, as there's also a prequel novel (the first of at least two, in fact) being released in Japan this month called "Popolo Chronicle": www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4036471104/ref=gno_cart_title_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AN1VRQENFRJN5Apparently about a boy named Murka who gets caught up in "the Battle of Ruben," whatever that is. Based on the very brief description. Also worth noting that Tamori's recently written a three-book novel series that's very much in a similar vein to PopoloCrois, called "Kin no Tsuki no Maya" (Maya of the Golden Moon; official English title is "Maya Mensis Aureos" based on the tiny print on the cover, but that's just a really bad Latin translation of "Maya of the Golden Moon," so I'm going to ignore it). I bought these recently, and they're quite beautifully-illustrated. Only read the first couple pages of the first book, but it seems VERY PopoloCrois-esque, so hopefully somebody picks it up for a game or anime sometime! www.amazon.co.jp/%E6%9C%AC/dp/4036470108/ref=pd_sim_b_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1MPA3RKJ7SK3WTCB6ADW-Tom

Thanks for the very precise info, once again, Tom ! So you may know that this is happening, but XSEED, the company behind the majority of Falcom adaptations, will make a US version of Popo 3DS, yeah ! \o/ I can only hope for a Euro version, as the 3DS is region locked (meh...), but I can't wait to see what's waiting for us with this intrigiung game !

Heehee. Yeah, I can't believe I haven't posted about this here yet, actually! Guess it just slipped my mind, with all the E3 prep. But I'm the one translating it AND editing it, and I'm also one of two people showing it at E3, so I'm super excited! I wrote up a blog entry about it, if anyone's interested: xseedgames.tumblr.com/post/121386499595/return-to-popolocrois-a-story-of-seasonsIt's SUPER GOOD. If I had to rank all the games I've played based on the PopoloCrois IP, this would be my third-favorite (of seven). It's really up there with the best of the series, and definitely worth checking out for fans of either PopoloCrois or Story of Seasons! -Tom
