Did you copy the administrator folder? You should've copied the folder with your own user name.
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\"SHIGURE"\APPLICATION DATA\FALCOM\YSF_WIN
That's where they would've been found.

Why not just edit the ysf_win.ini file?
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME\Application Data\FALCOM\YSF_WIN\ysf_win.ini
GameFirstPlay=1 GameClearFlag=2 GameClearFlagNightMare=0 GameClearFlagEasy=1
That should restore your previous settings.

In general, 0 = off/no, and 1 = on/yes. You change all of your 0s (nos) to 1s (yeses) in order to trick the game into thinking you've done something if you haven't. I think.

Prinko, if you're still there, try updating your version of Direct X. d3d means direct 3d and if that's messing up it's usually because of a Direct X problem. Try updating it.

Does any one know how to get past (or if you can get past) the big rock blocking a path in the abandoned mine? Behind the rock there are skeletons. Its near a save point, near a stair well.

later on in the ice caverns you will get the third bracelet from Dogi, it allows you to break walls, you use that to get through it.

Beware when you get behind that rock, those skeletons are TOUGH when you first encounter them.

Edit by Seldane - Spoilers! (Mark to read the text below.)
I think you'll get an accesory in the final dungeon that will allow you to kill those invincible skeletons.
They do a lot of damage (around 50%-70% to me the first time) and will revive when you think you've killed them.
But when you do get the bracelet from Dogi, you could try to get the treasure (or was that gold coins?) in the Abandones Mine while trying to avoid those skeletons (you can't win against them anyway:P).
What I did was when I got the loot, I used that "feather duster" thing to warp myself out of harm's way.

Well, you told him about what happens/what items you get much later in the game. I'd call that spoilers.

Sorry to revive an old question but....
I opened the ysf save file but couldn't find the game clear flag thing!!!
Does that mean I should beat the game once (dang I erased my old one....)?
Or should I manually add the gameclear flag thing somewhere?

Odd stuff. Do you have the latest patch installed? It might change that file, but I don't know.
