Errr, actually. I managed to install the game just fine. And I found and downloaded the 1.2.0.3 patch, but I can't seem to get it to install. Weird. How do I know if it worked?

Just click the OK button and it should install itself in a jiffy. Nothing particular happens.. It just... happens.

I wish the game displayed a version number somewhere. I kept on checking the executable files in Windows explorer, and none of them updated with new dates, like most patched files do. Thanks, however.

Anyone know what the difference is between the "standard" executable and the directx9 version? I tried running both with maxxed settings, and keep 60 fps regardless. I noticed no visual upgrades, and no performance increases. DX9 game crashed on me once, crashed hard. *shrugs*

Well, the regular exe uses DirectX 8 while the dx9 one quite simply uses DirectX 9. I suppose there could be some potential differences, but I doubt it. Not in this game. The performance is a little better in the regular one.

Ah well then. I'll continue using the apparently more stable DX8 version, then. Thanks again. You're a veritable fount of information. Take a Karma Point, for the win!

$107.34 shipped for the DVD version of the Limited Edition boxset. So yes, it came with the 7 bonus music CDs.
