Hi there. I played OiF on an ATI Radeon9800XT and it all just worked fine. With no error what soever. Then I switched to a new GFX-Card and MOBO. (ATI X1900XTX and MSI SLI-F) When I play the game, it freezes up after a while. Tried latest Catalyst drivers, and some of the older ones, updated the nForce drivers, but it's still freezing up. Searched the board, seen simmilar probs but without a solution.... Tried both .exe files, used settings from High res to low res, but still freezing up. Maybe it doesn't like new GFX cards LOL System: AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ MSI K8N SLi-F MSI ATI Radeon X1900XTX 512MB 2GB DDR2 OS: Windows XP-Pro directX 9c Sound card: Creative labs 5.1 Live.

Don't worry about hardware reqs, its definately not that. Your new video card driver is to blame, try every version of the driver you can find, try a generic windows driver, eventually you'll find one that does the job. Also, you've probably done this, but, if none of the drivers work, try different versions of the game patch as well. Hope one of these solves your problem.

Uncheck all the boxes in the config program. There are some features there that can screw things up.

Found the problem. It seemed to be that the D-RAM config wasn't working correclty. I have 2x512MB dualchannel and 1 1GB DDR (same brand) when I took out the 1GB the game did not freeze . I'll get me another 1GB DDR instead of 2x512
