That's what I'm thinking as well. Getting a PS Vita seems more and more tempting now.

The party system isn't so bad (from what I've played of Ys 7), but I really hope it won't become the standard from now on.
For me, it just felt better to take on bosses with Adol only in Ys 1-6, instead of having a group of people fighting along with you.

Hello Gu4n! Nice to see you as well, although I'm not really active here. I should play more Felghana. It's not enough that I've already beaten it like 20 times by now. There's still some Steam achievements left to unlock. I'm missing the Nightmare Boss Rush achievement (which makes it hard to unlock the remaining two achievements), since that one is a little too much for me.

Wish Strider NES had more polish, so it could easily be an NES classic. I liked the game, but it was sure buggy as hell.

I've been meaning to ask, but is this version of Ys 2 worth checking out?

Props for XSEED being fantastic as always. See?Shame Ys IV is the only game I would buy a Vita for. (Meaning I will probably have to skip this one.)

It's safe to say that the PS2 version of III (even if I'm not a fan of it) is waaaaaaay better than the one on the Super Nintendo. That version is just plain unfair and you can get damaged on a platform by enemies (while they do nothing but walk back and forth) under you. (And that horrid hit detection too, yikes) Truner It's not that awful, but I had so much trouble with Guruda (especially his second form). You could play it safe by firing magic at his weakspot from either left or right, but that can drag on for quite some time.

I liked Mask of the Sun on the SNES, shame the hit detection was a bit odd. Should get to Dawn of Ys too when it finally arrives~

But this still gives you more laughs than the following game I'm about to post a video of!

Been lurking this place for a while, but was too shy to register. It's only been a year (anniversary this summer!) since I started to play Ys, but so far I have finished Ys 1&2 on the PC-Engine (Virtual Console and retail release), Ys 1&2 Chronicles+, Oath in Felghana, Mask of the Sun, Ark of Napishtim (on the PS2) and Origin. Already finished Chronicles+ on Nightmare, Felghana on Inferno and planning to tackle Nightmare in both VI and Origin this summer!
