I haven't been keeping up with the Falcom fanbase for a while, so apologies if this is old or I've made a mistake. Apparently the Chinese company who ported Zero/Ao no Kiseki and Ys SEVEN to the PC are releasing Ys SEVEN PC in English. ( Blog post) At first I thought they were posting about the fan translation or something, but then I noticed they're talking about releasing it in Europe and America.

Thanks for the info ^^
Now I'm starting to regret ordering the regular Hong Kong version and not getting one of the Taiwanese sets instead.
BTW, the HK limited editions are pretty lacklustre IMHO. That and they don't let you choose the figure you want (you get one chosen at random from a selection four). I actually cancelled my Zero no Kiseki limited edition because of that reason X D
Just because you seem to know a fair amount about the Chinese editions, can I ask are you familiar with any economical methods of purchasing the figures separately? Like say, from Taobao merchants? (I don't really visit the Chinese community much.)
I'm quite tempted by the Kloe figure, but I don't want to break the bank to get it ^^;;;

I'm too scared to click on the images in case I get jealous X D
Aww, that's too bad that Tio's low tier. As you implied, her figure looked pretty good in the promo pics.
That reminds me, what do you think of the Kloe figure? Obviously you've got photos of it, but actually seeing and having it is totally different X D

Thanks!
Aww, I'm really disappointed. I appreciate that Falcom added tons of new and fresh tracks, but they really dropped the ball with the classic songs.

Truth be told, one of the reasons I was looking forward to a Ys 4 remake was to hear new versions of the old songs. While I haven't combed this game's soundtrack properly, I couldn't seem to find many familiar tracks o__o Does anyone know if the first field song and Leeza's theme are in this game?

I don't remember seeing anything, but I wasn't paying much attention to the Japanese text. I know there's an angel statue in the museum, but I don't know if that's related. I do know you can obtain Zemuria Stones .

Okay, I've been told to send my manual activation key to them and they'll send me the corresponding response key, which can be used to manually activate the game.
Trouble is, I'm pretty sure the activation key resets each time you load the game and the unique response key only works for the corresponding activation key. So I'll have to keep the game open while I wait for Typhoon Games to send me the response key and I live in the opposite time zone...
I'm not sure if it helps, but Typhoon Games asked if I was in Hong Kong, so I'm starting to suspect the unlock site works, but is region-locked for people outside of Hong Kong and other Chinese regions. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with proxies, so I'm not going to use one to check my hypothesis.
Anyway, if you want to follow my adventure, I'd suggest e-mailing Typhoon Games, e-mail:
support[AT]typhoongames[DOT]com
and asking them something like this:
For reference, the manual activation is the box halfway down the activation screen. I can supply an image if needed.

That makes sense, the PSP was doing amazing in Japan, but it's inevitable that it'll start to decline, given how long ago it's been around.
While I'd love the Kiseki games on the 3DS, I worry that the fanbase doesn't really suit and there's the issue of region-locking for would-be-importers.
Returning to the PCs also seems to be a gamble, due to piracy, but it could be the safest option if there are enough PC Falcom fans.

I received a response from Typhoon Games, but they only responded to my first question (not about activating the game) and not the second (about activating the game), so I've had to send them another e-mail.
Whoops, I knew I shouldn't have asked them too many things. I asked for them to de-activate my game for me, which they did, but it turns out I had already activated the game on the PC I wanted anyway, so that was a complete waste of time...
I was lazy so I typed the e-mail in English and they seemed to understand what I was saying. If all else fails, I'll type it in Chinese, but I haven't learned how to use Chinese IMEs so I'll have to copy and paste text from Babelfish or something.
As for why they might not respond, I showed them the photos of my game (like the activation leaflet tells you to, if you have a problem) and they seemed happy to help.

I finally sent an e-mail to Typhoon Games. If I get a response (or not), I'll let you know ^^

Sorry for the late reply, I completely forgot to check these boards lately.
I activated my copy in the UK, so I assume there isn't any region locking for activiations. However, you're correct that the Unlock site isn't working at the moment.
I tried looking online for a solution, but haven't found one yet : (
I'll try e-mailing Typhoon Games later today to see if I get a solution, since I also need to sort out my copy of the game.

I don't think the version matters much, but did you buy the Traditional Chinese version published by Typhoon Games?
Do you know what type of error (if any) you get when you try to activate the game? If you get an error message, can you screenshot it (using the Print Screen button) and uploading it for us to see?

I don't have the files on me due to my hard drive kicking the basket, but there should be an application in the program directory that does this. I think it includes the word "revoke" in it.
When you click on the correct file, it should display a window with button prompts similar to the activation window--so if you see this, you should be on the right track.

Wow, this is really cool.
I'm pretty familiar with everything up to Zero and I'm aware of the 7th's identity from the pre-release info as well, so I'm assuming I should be safe from spoilers.
The only thing that worries me is that I have absolutely no idea how to use Facebook, but I managed to view the sample pages, so hopefully I can figure out the rest, like obtaining credits.

When you reinstalled Windows, did it remove all of your files?
If so, did you deactivate your copy of Zero no Kiseki before reinstalling? You can't activate your game again before deactivating it. If you lost your deactivation code, you'll have to e-mail the game company.
I have to e-mail them myself when I get the time, because I'm sitting on unplayable copies of Zwei II and Zero no Kiseki thanks to a hard drive failure : (

Can you post of a print screen of this "update" that you're asked to do? BTW, they revealed the Aisha figurine and Adol figurine for Ys 7's limited edition(s). I think the Adol figurine looks rather nice. It's also realistically scaled and not super deformed.

Happy New Year all! They've been teasing this for a while, but the Chinese PC version of Ao no Kiseki has been announced.

Hi, is there anybody with a spare or unwanted new/unused/very good copy of the recent promotional Zero + Ao no Kiseki desktop calendar that they can sell to me (and subsequently send to the UK)?
AFAIK, you can get the calendar for free when you purchase anything from Falcom's site (except the Heroine Nendroids, since they're released after the promotion).
However I'm not intending on buying anything major right now and I'm also worried about the shipping costs from Japan o__o
I can pay via PayPal. My e-mail address is:

In case anybody is interested, I believe preorders for the PC version of Ys SEVEN are now open (mainland China version). Like Zero no Kiseki, they're trying to convince you to buy the game by including figurines with certain limited editions. Limited edition with TiaLimited edition with AishaNot sure if I'll get the PC version, since I'm pretty happy with the English PSP version and I get the feeling the PC version won't be much of an upgrade, except maybe the music.

Haven't imported from Japan for ages, might I ask around how much does Amiami's international shipping cost?
I'm kind of tempted to order off Yesasia, who are selling the set for 39.59 USD (including shipping), but I am a bit wary of their shipping after experiencing an issue in the past.
