Yeah, I don't see how anyone would've, without the strategy guide. (: That, and the optional "boss" who only shows up four times per hour, real-time, at the :00, :15, :30, and :45 marks - and only for one minute at a time. WTF? I didn't come across this on the walkthrough I was using. ........... HOT DAMN. I think I used this page too but I don't recall seeing that. Heh. I actually found the info on a 4chan thread that was dated October 26, 2008. This was before the guidebook was released! @_@ Was it hinted at somewhere in the game then?

I think the developers filled the room with light bulbs just to keep people there long enough for the boss to show up... you know, so they'd be like, ooh, light bulbs! And start attacking them, and messing around, and then suddenly a boss would show up, and they'd be like, whoa! (: Oh, it's THAT room! I just kept trying in vain to light up everything and every now and then, I'd spot some shadow move to another bulb and all. I thought you had to somehow light them all up so the thing would appear. I ended up fighting it for a bit but it took so much damage and then ... it disappeared again. >_>

I've been patient up til now, because you guys always tell folks sometimes they take a while, but I've been waiting on the confirmation email* from them for 12 days now. Is that unheard of, or have they taken longer before? :x
*Initial order Email sent, reply from them sent, me saying "yar, send the stuff, homies" - no 4th email with confirmation and tracking number and stuff.

Yeah, I just got the same e-mail yesterday. Maybe they were overwhelmed.
I had "obtained" this game previously but was waiting for one of these sales to buy it for legit. I'm currently only halfway through the fire dungeon, but I'm looking forward to getting back into playing it.

6/5 - 6/11
2121: Brandish (PSP); Guidebook; soundtrack; postcard; calendar -> 4200 Yen (First 20)
861A: Ys: Oath in Felghana Limited Edition (CD version)-> 980 Yen
879A: Gurumin (PSP) -> 3200 Yen
M006A: Preprimer -> 1200 Yen
M008A: Falcom JDK Band 1 -> 1200 Yen
They are continuing to clear out non-vista Felghana. This may be the last chance to pick up a copy of Limited Edition Felghana unless they still have DVD version stock available. Let's hope mail order people aren't out of luck--if the popular edition clearance is any indication, they will sell out before they check their mail order emails.

It would be really weird if didn't work, certainly. Hm, I didn't know there was a CD version of YsOiF out there. I wonder if the music quality is slightly inferior, like when one compares VMJ's or even Ys I-II COMPLETE's CD and DVD versions.

Don't see why it would be, seen as it's multiple CDs, and the combined filesize total should add up to the same as the one DVD... are the ones you quoted on one CD or something?

Nope, they are in 2 CDs each (not sure about COMPLETE, but so I think). But the DVD version of i.e. VMJ would actually... have to be on 3 CDs, not two. When you install the DVD version, before the installation, you are given two options. I don't understand japanese, but at the end of each options shows a filesize (the first one was like 600MB and the second one was 1.7GB or something). I know the DVD version of COMPLETE has slightly better music because you have the option to install it with 44mHz instead of only 22 or something like that.

Funnily enough I bought the 8 soundtrack edition from a friend just a few days ago and got it in from him today. i44.tinypic.com/35k4jgn.jpg980 yen is far less than what we agreed on but I'm just happy to have it.

I'm sure that 980 yen would balloon to something like 5000 once shipping is factored in.
Still, I remember paying over $100 for the whole set back when this came out, so it's still a fantastic deal.
