PLUS these "not for sale" items: Ys Music History Ys I&II Chronicles OST Mini Ys Best Sound Collection Legend of Heroes 7 Illustration Collection Sora no Kiseki Mini Postcards x5
Retail value: 20,760Y Sale price: 9,500Y
that's an epic bargain, I might just have to go for it [despite Canada Post being total retards lately *headdesk*] Is there any way, anyone can hold this for me until I get paid on the 11th?

*nods* I can pay via paypal, and if you live in the US, you wouldn't lose a dime. Infact, I could pay extra for the trouble.

Okay, I sent them an e-mail since you're a regular here. I'd be tempted to talk you out of one or two of the games since I wanted it too, but just don't have the money nor do I have a paycheck coming in the forseeable future. heh
I'm planning on moving to a better area for job opportunities on the 15th, but should be able to send it to wherever inbetween (or drop it off if you're miraculously on the way!)
One quick question though, do you want me to have them ship it to the US (At their shipping rate) or have it shipped to Japan for cheaper and then shipped to the US for cheaper? It's a time thing. If you'd rather to the US, I can also just have them ship it to your address.

Not a problem! Hmmm... the cheapest option would be best -- and that way, IF you wanted Vantage Master Portable... feel free to take it, free of charge!

What are the odds of this package being sold out like... soon?

OK so I ordered. Already afraid the Canadian borders will kill this deal with like 30$ tax though.

Would that even really kill it? I mean, even with $30 in taxes, it seems like it'd be a bit of a steal. (: Not ... really. $106.76 CDN with today's exchange rate. Anticipating about $50 US EMS shipping. And crazy taxes by customs. This will probably result in ~$180 US in the end. :(( Still cheaper than the actual price but still hefty in moneys in the end. TOT But! jeffx, you might be lucky! Falcom sometimes declares a ridiculously low value on their shipments! My last one was $1.00 and also marked as a gift. However, punkass Canada Customs took the postage price of 2500 yen and charged me taxes for it. >_> Usually though, Falcom packages can slip through without problems.

I never get charged for Customs on Falcom orders. They always mark it dirt cheap and on gift. But if you order something like from Play-asia then its gurantee duties fees. Which can be more expensive then actual shipping itself.

I wasn't charged a penny for my Falcom stuff to Calgary. You should be fine.

Guh, the tiny images of the postcards that come with the Ys I & II Chronicles + Ys SEVEN set look neat. TT I spot the shirtless gladiator Adol among the 8 images there! *o*!!! (Er, it's not a special offer but this instead: www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/catalog/920.html)

(Or SkyeWelse did for me... :'D) I actually just want it for the postcardsssss.... (Har har~ Behold my priorities for collecting ultimate junk~! :3)I'm wondering though, if I was to ever attempt placing an order for this - does Falcom accept debit cards instead of credit cards? Should I be asking them this directly rather than mooning over that set here and posting such silly questions?

You should be all set as long as you have a Visa/MasterCard/etc. logo on your card; says I from experience. Just be sure THEY know which logo it is!

Falcom hasn't replied yet... I sent the request email to both order_h19@falcom.co.jp and support_h19@falcom.co.jp as recommended by NightWolve.
Deadline's Jan 7 so I'm getting worried... anyone got their reply?

You may want to ask Falcom to label the box differently from their usual "GameSoft: 100 yen".
While Falcom packages usually come through fine, customs decided it wasn't clear enough this time and held my last package hostage for a week and a half. Had to print out and send them the mail order correspondence which they used to tax me.
I suggest using "Used CDs: $20". Just in case the guys at customs are having a bad day.

^ well either way, they'll have to write back first. also I'm pretty certain any attempt to modify their process will screw up the whole thing. maybe the canadian customs will react differently too.
