Anyone know if there is a soundtrack and/or game rip available for Taito's remake of Ys 3 for the PS2?

The game hasnt even been released yet! Usually game soundtracks come out months after the game is released too. I also wanna hear this when its available.

I just got the game and me likes! By the way, it has a sound test in the options so you can listen to all the music. The music quality is obviously not raw instrument sounding like the TG16 but its still very good in its synthy way. The music really sounds like a SNES game soundtrack which is good cause I like SNES music.

Aww, that actually kind of sucks since I was looking forward to some rock music and real instruments. They should look at Guilty Gear Music and use REAL instruments.

Synthesizers are "real" instruments. In case you weren't aware, the word "instrument" is defined by Merriam-Webster as "a device used to produce music." There is no aspect of that definition which specifies the means by which it produces sound. The lack of acoustics involved in its sound doesn't disqualify it from being "real." That's one of the most narrowminded, lamebrained biases I've ever seen. It amazes me that it still persists. Expand your horizons a bit. Hmmm......you sounds mad Deuce . In MY OWN opinion, synths are good for music or BGM, but if you go the way Ys music was done back on its TG16 version (My Fave Version of Ys), they should've bumped it up into some Guilty Gear-Esque type sound. The music I grabbed off of Adol (thanks daemonifuge!) made me wonder why Falcom hasn't found some band like Out Of Sight or Baroque to beef up the music in the PS2 ports. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on Ys (What would I be doing here then?), but I am a little dissapointed to find out that they're still going along with a very heavy synth style Soundtrack. TG16 may have been high-quality synth, but it sounded good enough to make me love the game and pop the disc into a Cd player . Jump about 15 or so years into the future (I forget when it was made for TG16 at the moment ), when technology has been greatly advanced, and I wonder why they never stick anything better into the recent games. Ys VI had some good stuff on there(lovin' the soundtrack), but with the Ys remakes for the PS2, why didn't they go for some better sounding stuff? I've listened to most of the renditions off of their cd's or websites, but then I get to the game and it leaves me a bit dissapointed, and I am only talking about the MUSIC here, I'll leave the gameplay for another thread. ANYWAYS, just thought I'd throw that in there, yup .

I didn't mean go throwing the whole game into Rock frenzy, but at LEAST the battle themes or some settings suitable for a Rock Enviroment. What's so hard about recording someone play a Freakin' guitar without having to tweak it on the computer? Out of sight did some nice work with their renditions, they even did a rendition of a Ranch Village's town theme without killing the song. Yes, I am aware that they do use some synth in some songs, but realistically, there'd probably be no way of getting around that without damaging some of the original work. I mean, honestly, I wouldn't give FEENA a metal remake, THAT I understand. I'll Agree with THAT . But with all the arrangements that JDK has made of the original Ys songs, shouldn't Taito at least let Falcom in on some of the Music production? I've only heard two songs by Baroque since I haven't finished downloading them. I've only heard Out Of Sight's WHOLE Metal Arrange compilation, and I loved it. With all that said, I just want to point out that I wouldn't mind SOME synth, but at least make it high quality (and energetic enough) to make people who play the game think it's the real thing, like they did to me(until I became more educated on the matter ).

Wow, that really sucks. If they're not going to put much time and effort into doing the PS2 ports of the game, then why bother with it at all. Let someone else with more passion for the game do it. What about Falcom? I'm too informed on how Taito ended up with the job of re-making Ys games for the PS2 instead of Falcom, what happened?!?!

This is like a week too late, but I agree with one thing:
SSH is pretty fresh. I've got a couple CD's of their stuff burned and in my car for driving music! Of course I have to switch it when friends get in the car cuz they're like "uh wtf is this?" ... "uh, rehashed video game music"
