1st ever was Lum - which was the english name for Urusei Yatsura...
I'm a hugh fan of the works of CLAMP, Rumiko Takahashi, Masakazu Katsura, and of course Leiji Matsumoto!
I find that people on this board generally have great taste! I love Utena, Evangelion, Kodocha, and many of the other manga and anime listed in this thread! I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive! I have way to many money hungry hobbies!

If this is too thread of an old to post to (typo, and I'm sticking to it!) lemme know, but I saw a post I wanted to respond to so HA! Hell, I dig around in the Chaotic Chat for ancient threads when I'm really bored JUST TO necropost! XD *is totally aware that she is replying to a post from January 19 and that there have been replies since then*

I believe my first manga was the first issue of the US Shonen Jump. However, that was the only one I ever got, and it didn't really leave an impression on me.
I really got into manga about a year later when I picked up Miyuki-Chan In Wonderland at the local comic book store. After that, I got big into CLAMP's manga. I have most of their works now.

The first manga I read was Orphen. I loved it. I also learned that the one ADV translated was some other one, and not the original, which had around 20+ volumes.
Over the years, I got into Pretty Face, Negima, and Dragon Ball, whcih I am currently reading.

oh wow...I think the oldest manga I remember reading was...Gunsmith Cats? Back when Dark Horse was publishing them? That was around 6th grade or so. Remember reading Blade of the Immortal, and Mixx-Zine as well. Nowadays, it's all about Yotsuba&! pretty much. I was picking up Jojo's Bizarre Adventure before it was dropped, and really love GTO as well.

My first manga was Ocarina of Time, followed by Majora's Mask. I never did finish the latter, or read any before or since.
