There's an anime based on Dragon Slayer (or The Legend of Heroes 1). It was actually officially released on VHS in North America (in 1998 I think). However, they just released one tape (2 or 4 episodes), so it isn't complete, I'm afraid. Buy it here!

Sheesh, I had no idea that was released in North America, I have been looking for that forever! The characters look drastically different from the ED I game, but the original names are there. The Legend of Heroes Symphonic Poem I & II are the soundtrack to this I believe. Sounds like Ryle could be looking for something different, though.

Actually, I've seen it. Believe it or not, they use the music from the PC Engine version, I remember being surprised by that! That was years ago, so it's possible there are some songs that weren't in the PCE version that they used. Quite frankly, it doesn't follow the original story very well from what I can remember.

Gettingalittle off topic: Would be cool if they Remade Legend of Xanadu 1 and 2. Make it so you can switch between party members. Each character has thier own moves and uses the AoN/Felghana Engine. Also keep the whole Equipment Lvling up system but reworked better. Now that would kick some ass!

I'm waiting for that day to come. The LoX games are my favorite Falcom games after Ys, I never get tired of them.

Im getting near the end of LoX2 Chapter 3 when that idea hit me. The LoX games just scream Remake to me.

LoX II also proves that Ys V could have been made for the PC Engine, with larger sprites and still retain the bump system, it would have been amazing. I can only imagine Ys V on PC Engine arranged by Ryo Yonemitsu.

Im sure Mr. Yonemitsu could do it up well though.

I think Ys V has the best soundtrack of all the Ys games, and I'm so happy Ryo never touched it!
