There are many different versions of YsI, even though most of them are pretty much the same. But anyway, which one is your favorite?

Ys Eternal, PC version. (Not the complete one, the musics were better with Ys Eternal) The better version, with many more dialogues than the other ones. The PS2 version is crappy. My second favorite is maybe the MSX one, the first I've played ^^

Oops... voted for the wrong thing... lol Wanted to click the PC version but saw like PC-Engine and clicked on it... what a goof! I like the newer and updated graphics of the PC version. and the music is cool too.

NES! There are more puzzles in this version, (and it's more difficult) and one music track (on mountain), that is not in any other version, but that I love. Second is Ys Eternal (PC). I haven't played Saturn version, and hardly will be playing... But I look at screenshots and think, in this version are the best graphics... Maybe, it would be my second favourite, if I played it...

I dislike the NES version a lot. But the mountain song is good!
The X68000 version has two extra songs. Yet another mountain song and a new song for Zeptic village.

Although the PC version wins hands down in the graphics department, the Turbografx version is still the best overall experience, due mostly to the music and voice acting.

Turbografx all the way. It's got a d-pad and two buttons with a Run and Select button (too easy XD)
I just like how the game is made, the music is wonderfully composed and I just like it.

I like Ys Eternal the best. I love the high quality 2D graphics, and all of the changes have been for the better IMO.

i havenft played all of them, but Ys for the sms will always be my favorite. i found it more difficult than Ys eternal(nightmare difficulty). this doesnft make it better, just an opinion. it seemed longer, the monsters moved faster than aron, and the palace/destruction level seemed larger. it took me much more time to find feena.
anyway, is the download section good? I am looking forward to my 25th post

it was hard to decide after completing Ys 1 for the PS2.....but my choice is still the Turbo Grafx due to the wonderful music and voice acting.....it is a captivating experience......maybe it is because of the first time I played it 13 yrs ago

Check the "Good places to buy imports" thread in the gaming forum. It's right on top.

I voted for the MSX version...that's nostalgia talking. Ys 1 for MSX was the first RPG I ever played - I had no clue what I was doing took me four months to complete the game, but it was a blast!

For me it has to be MSX, but maybe I'm just a fool for nostalgia. It was the first one I tried anyway

Well I highly recommend Ys Book 1 and 2 for the Turbo Duo, you can get this on Ebay and use an emulator to play it......OR I would recommend Ys Complete with the patch that allows use to play it in English and the patch that gives you the better soundtrack.

I choose the Turbo Grafx version it is the first one i played (I got it when it first came out) and had a big impact on me, the soundtrack is still one of the finest Music recordings ever produced. i also love the New Ys Complete games as well.

As much as I love the Sega Master System Vanished Omens, since it was my first Ys and my only one for years, the Turbo/PCE-CD version will always be my favorite.
