Well, this is old news. I am also skeptical about this project. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. Click here.

Can't they get it right? They say it's pronounced 'ease' which is just plain wrong. People seem to have a lot of trouble getting it right, but I guess that's to be expected - it's not exactly the easiest word to work out.

"Ys Online (PC) RPG that takes the company's flagship Ys (pronounced "ease") series Online for the first time. The game is being developed by Korean Online developer eSofnet and managed by Plenus Entertainment, who holds 21 million members in its Online portal sites."
Found this, is it for the best of your own knowledge..

Sounds awesome. It'd be cool if they made a PS2 version.

I just hope it's playable offline, with a real story & all. I don't have the time or interest to play online games, plus it makes matters worse when you get charged to play the game online, when you already paid for the game, it's just a gimmick to get more money. Sure, it works for some, but even back in the day, older online games just weren't interesting, I'd rather play solo any day of the week, & if I do play with people, I'd rather they be right there, then a million fricken light years away. That's how we did our old Bomberman battles, get a group together & play, though I still have yet to get 9 other people together to play the Saturn version with me! Man, it's so much fun when they're right there. I even have atleast 1 online game, Champions of Norrath, & I have no interest in ever playing with a bunch of idiots that think they're better then me(not that, that is always the case), I just like playing solo, or when a friend or 2 right here in my house. Please, let it be playable offline!! For the love of Pete!

Well, I'll probably buy it anyways, just to have it. I'm not too keen on MMORPG's, especially since, right now, I have a friend that does nothing with his life since WOW came out. He was playing SW Galaxies before that, but, he seemed to have more of a life. All he does is work, & come home to play WOW, he doesn't even have anything to talk about anymore, unless it's about WOW, & some axe he's looking for, or whatever, it's sad.

Please, let it be playable offline!! For the love of Pete! Well I NEVER heard about a MMORPG game that is playable offline. Only free throu Private Servers. Well, I'll probably buy it anyways, just to have it. I'm not too keen on MMORPG's, especially since, right now, I have a friend that does nothing with his life since WOW came out. All he does is work, & come home to play WOW, he doesn't even have anything to talk about anymore, unless it's about WOW, & some axe he's looking for, or whatever, it's sad. Why not? The thing about MMORPG is the feeling of having people - the thought about raiding other places. I hate WoW, I expected to much from it and thus became disapointed. Well you're just going to have to accept that some people are more drawn into the alternate reality due to several reasons. I'm drawn to some MMORPGs' such as Anarchy Online I love the gameplay in it, and the community of people. In WoW, almost everyone I encountered was morons that only insulted you, challenged you to PvP or called you a "n00b" and ran of. In AO, most people are understanding ^^ You can get a million creds just by standing next to a Lv. 200 player Why are they making Ys online anyway? I mean, what are you suppose to kill / find / do? Gundam Online, that is understandable - Big robots from the U.C. era smashing the other side to bits. But... Ys? Hehe, maybe they make Adol as a Lv. Enemy that will kill you if you start attacking him Who knows?

maybe you play more with the other chara's in the Ys world, but I'm just going on a rant here. let's wait till pics, shall we? and not fantasize about it. the good thing to know is that it's still in development.

Online RPG's are crap because companies make crappy Online RPG's. The core concept itself is good, it's just gone in the wrong direction so long that developers have somehow got the impression that it's the right direction. Falcom is a smart company, however, and not typically a sucker for trends; so just trust a hope for now.

MMORPG's can be good, if made properly. but that's with every game genre. that's usually the difference between a good game and a bad game.

But how do you possibly think they are going to do the characters for the online version? The characters are what makes the Ys games what they are.
