Hey, I'm playing the "old" (but fun) pc version of Ys 1. I'm having a problem getting the blue amulet. I rescued the girl, and she gave me the glasses. then I went to get the battle armor and the last door. Can't get thrpugh the last door, so I went bakc to the old guy Aldon and he still tells me to rescue the girl (what I already did). Even went back to the guy on floor 11 and he still tells me to rescue the girl?!?
Beets me, but I can't get a hand on the blue amulet to pass the magic door...
Can any1 help?

You get the blue amulet from Luther Gemma who's stuck in the dungeon in Darm Tower... I think.

You should talk to Luther Gemma, yes. He's in one of the "odd" places of the tower. You can reach it early, but you don't need to go there until when you need the blue amulet. I don't remember which floor it is, but it's fairly early in the tower.
Good luck!

dont you have to read the books of Ys first to trigger it? i thought you did on the PC version. and then you go down and talk to Luther.

Lik I said...I went back to floor 11 already....there's the guy to whom I need to talk. still no go So in order to get the amulet, I need to read the books....ok, but how on earth am I going to read the books. Cuz when I press I for inventory, the only things I can select are the rings, items (neclace, mask, etc), weapons/armor/shield, but not the other items as the glasses, books etc......

Press E for equipment and I for items (I think). Otherwise, it might be R for read book. I don't really know.
