Hi everyone. I'm new here. I put a short introduction up in the Minea Village section. Anyway, I need some help. I just got Ys Eternal and installed the English patch. I just finished the mines and have 3 books. I went back to Jeva and had her read all 3 books, but she never tells me to go talk to Goban to get into Darm Tower. I'm stuck, I can't get into Darm Tower. I don't know what to do or if I missed something. I was looking at a FAQ on Gamefaqs and he mentions something about some people not being able to get into Darm Tower and to do the Luta sidequest. Well, I did that too and it didn't help. I don't know if the English patch is messed up or what. Can anyone help a poor soul? Thanks in advance.

Did you talk to Feena on the pier yet? Or rescue a sleep-walking Luta Gemma? Or obtain the silver sword?
*scratch the Luta Gemma one, I just read your last paragraph.*
Also did you give Lair the silver harmonica? She's up on the ramparts in Minea

You might need the silver sword too. Did you eat the roda seed?

Thanks for the replies. I didn't talk to Feena on the pier. DOH! Then I had to leave town and come back and she was back inside the house with Jeva. Then Jeva told me to go talk to Goban then. Such a little thing it was. lol Thanks again.

Hopefully, Nightwolve updates the patch by erasing the word "Eternal" out of the title screen (and everywhere else)!!!

OK... I also have the same problem as Kaioh, which is being unable to advance to Darm Tower. I'm playing the Complete version of the game.
I rescued Luther, gave the harmomica and the sheet of paper back to her, saw the poem cutscene after returning the paper, defeated the bat boss, got the thrid book, asked the lady to read the third book, and finally tried to talk to her to get access to Darm Tower.
But nooo, she still says the usual introduction of Ys and not mentioning Goban a slightest bit. I'm absoultely stumped and ran out of ideas. Don't tell me the order is important...

Haven: This is totally unrelated, but I just thought I should point out that the Japanese under your avatar should read "Toppyoushimonai Gaijin" -- the "no" is unnecessary. The sentence is actually "toppyoushi mo nai gaijin", with "nai" being an adjective, so the connecting "no" changes the meaning into something along the lines of "It's a crazy one, gaijin!" -Tom Arigatou Gomen Nasai Boku wa Gaijin Desu ^^ BTW I think the "i" is what makes the word an adjective instead of "nai" which is (i believe) actually a prefix meaning "not" I knew something was wrong Blame "aka no kuruma" and "akai kuruma" EDIT: now i'm confused.... shouldn't "no" either make the noun either possessive or adjective? How could it make the word a noun? LOL OFF-TOPIC

Well did you see the "Feena by the lake" cut scene?

Argh, I am too anxious so I didn't notice Kaioh's last reply, and I didn't notice there is a pier in the village.
Yea, after I got the cutscene, Jeeva allowed me to continue with the story. Thanks!

Sorry, I didn't explain myself clearly... Yes, for the most part, words ending in a hiragana "i" are adjectives, INCLUDING "nai" -- in Japanese, the word "not" is considered an adjective. Yay Japanese grammar! "no" is a particle that basically serves to turn a noun into either an adjective or a possessive, but it can also be used as a noun, meaning "one" (i.e. "that one"). In the case of "Toppyoushi mo nai no gaijin", it would be kinda like saying "Toppyoushi mo nai no, gaijin", where you're describing some nonspecific crazy thing to a gaijin -- "it's quite a crazy one, you outsider!" -Tom I stand corrected ^^ Somebody does care ^^
