To install the patch, you MUST have the latest version of Ys COMPLETE. Note that you need Ys COMPLETE. Ys ETERNAL won't work. Some people claim it is called Ys Eternal Complete. This is NOT true and it is just confusing. The box says Ys COMPLETE but the in-game graphics are still Ys ETERNAL. I don't know why they didn't change the graphics but there is no game called Ys Eternal Complete. The latest Ys I & II COMPLETE patch. Download and install this.

I'm thinking about importing the Ys Eternal standalone games from Falcom, because they don't have the double pack. Does the translation patch still work?
Also, I've "got" a copy of Ys 1 and 2 complete. I could patch the first game and run it without the CD, but I couldn't do it for the second one. Anyone know why?

I advice against getting Ys/YsII Eternal. Ys//YsII COMPLETE are better, plus they have translation patches. Those patches does not work with Ys/YsII Eternal.

Hello Well just to make sure are there's the complete Ys games? Ys: www.falcom.co.jp/newgames/win_xp/ys1xp.htmlYs II: www.falcom.co.jp/newgames/win_xp/ys2xp.htmlBecause if they are, they are still on for sale Also, I would like to ask if anyone who has ordered from falcom before, isn't it risky sending credit card details through e-mail? I don't have a fax machine myself so e-mail is the only way. I've also heard that ISP e-mail services are a lot safer than say hotmail or yahoo. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Yep, those are the right ones. Ordering from Falcom is simple, but it can be risky just like you said. ISP e-mails are most certainly safer than hotmail (never use hotmail - it's not safe).
