Will the english translation be finished one day ?

Hi!
Last year I discovered Ys 6, I loved it even in japanese!
So I bought Ys eternal cause I found a translation! But I found out that only Ys 1 eternal was translated and that Ys 2 wasn't finished. I think that only items or artefact's names have been translated. So I wanted to ask you, Ys' pro , if you were able to tell me if the translation of Ys 2 pc was on its way to be finished soon ?

I must update you with some news: Ys VI is coming out in english in USA for PS2 (but you probably already knew that) and Ys VI for PC is being translated by Deuce as we speak (maybe not litteraly though). Ys II COMPLETE is about 50-60% translated - so it's fully playable although it's annoying when a dialogue turns japanese all of a sudden. Anyway, the patch is better than nothing, I recommend it.

I knew about the ps2 version of ys6 but I don't have a ps2 and I prefer wait the english translation for my pc version cause it's a lot more beautiful to play on pc than ps2

Hi i'm new to the boards.

I've got a slightly different question I wanted to ask about the translation. Will there be/is there a script of it in text format I would be able to print out?

You see I have the PS2 version of the game (nifty box set, figurines, everything.) I managed to find a walkthrough of the 1st game that allowed me to understand just about everything that was going on. But now that thats done, I can't find anything that will help me play through the second one . Not only has this stopped me from playing through the game, its also kept me from watching the last chapter of the anime!

Thanks for the link but I've already checked out the walkthrough, what I really need is a translation of what they're saying (sorry should have been more specific.)

From what I've heard about this patch for the english version, i'm assuming there has to be some sort of english script laying around somewhere.

Just be patient - we're currently beta testing it and it should be released shortly. It's finished job is better than one that isn't (the old patch was pretty annoying since an english dialogue could turn into japanese all of a sudden.)

I did check out the file but everything seems to be extremely disorganized (then again i've never actually seen anything like this before.) so i'm not even sure where to start. Thanks for the info, but i don't think this will help me understand the PS2 version of Ys 2

I would be more than happy to help beta test the PC version, but sadly I don't own it.

Hi I'm new, and I lent the korean version of Ys2 eternal from a friend, and was wondering if the patch would work on it, and if so when would it be released, I have a general understanding of korean, but its very basic.

Hi, the patch unfortunally does not work on the Eternal version only on the newer Ys II Complete version.

Well that sucks. Do you know if there is a translation patch for the eternal version or not?

Sadly I do not recall there being one available, I think they started it and then the better Complete edition came out and they decided to do that one instead.

Well its not really needed anymore - well for me anyway. I managed to work out whats going on with the script and from what I can see its the exact same.
