As you might know, "Companile of Lane" is the song in the clock tower in YsII. I have some questions about this song:
1. What could they possibly mean by "companile"? It isn't a word. Could they just have come up with it because they thought it sounded "cool"? Or, is it just another case of Falcom's bad English? In that case, what could they possibly have meant? Compilation? That's a pretty weird word for a song too. Any ideas?
2. Who - or what - is Lane? As far as I can remember, there's nothing - or no one - called Lane in YsII. Is it a Japanese name for someone/something? Or is it just another made-up word? Maybe the tower's called Lane or something?

Just did some research.
It appears that a campanile is a belfry/bell tower. So it looks like they misspelled that word with an "o". As far as "Lane" goes, maybe they meant it as a "path" or "passage" and they mistakenly added "of" to it. So perhaps they meant "Bell Tower Passage" or "Passage of the Bell Tower".
That's my guess.

"Bell Tower Passage" or "Passage of the Bell Tower" That would make a lot of sense. Are you absolutely sure Lane is a name, Deuce?

Who is Lane? Does it matter in the story at all? Does the name even show up in the game?
