So if you made it this far, you would have mapped out the lava area underneath the gigantic tree??? If so, that is impressive because even that place was a confusing maze. When are you planning on making these maps available? can't wait to see em'.

lava area underneath the gigantic tree? NO, did not know about that or how to get there. How do you get there?
Is it normal not to be able to use magic in the ice pace?
As for making the maps available, I usually do not show my work unfinished (not having all of the games maps) when I put it up on VGMaps.com, but because this is a Ys fan site and people are helping I will offer then here first, as a way to have them reviewed to see what else they need. The biggest file so far is the maine valley at 2.50mb. I have now 56 maps totaling 26.2mb. How can I offer them up on this site?

That's weird, I figured you had to go through that lava dungeon before you could go through the Ice Ridge... It has been a long time since I played it so I could be wrong. To get to that dungeon, simply go to the Roda Tree (gigantic tree somewhere in the main field) and simply go behind the tree and enter a hidden town which is also the entrance to the lava area. The lava area is probably going to take you a long time to map since that place is huge. On top of that, there is another dungeon within that lava area.
As for making the maps available on this site, I guess one of the users who manage this forum would have to answer that. I can wait for the finished work.

No, the Ice Ridge part takes place prior to the Burnedbless part. You cannot use magic (or even leave the ice ridge area for that matter) until you have beaten the boss in Dabi's tower (teleporter dungeon).
You may as well take notice of how to access the next area since this is difficult to find out. After you have cleared the ice ridge, return to the Elf village guy (north-eastern house) to get a new stick, equip the stick and go talk to the Roda tree. Then you can proceed through an entrance at the back of the tree.

I guess not... I remember you could only inflict negligible damage to the boss, if any, during that first phase (in fact I do not even remember if it is actually possible to hit him).

I beat the tower boss but I'm stuck now. Where do I go. I cant use magic, cant get passed the statues at the valley/ice ridge pass and I cant get in the place north east of ice ridge 3(get thrown out).

Did you go to the Priest Shrine to the east? Perhaps you need to "talk" to one of the statues there.

Awesome, can't wait to see the preview.
I'm sure Seldane (FM-77) will be very impressed as well as Red Hairdo. I wanted to map out certain parts of the game as well since I have the tools to do so, but I didn't have the patience for it.

Should I combined maps like this one or keep them separate? I personally like them combined, makes it seem more organized. These maps are really something, can't wait to see them all complete. More importantly, can't wait to see Solomon Shrine mapped out. Awesome work,

Impressive work indeed. (though it will prove difficult to combine the maps of those 35+ story towers :b )

WOW! This is so amazing! I love video game maps. Seriously, LOVE them. I enjoy looking at maps even more than playing the actual games! This is the best thing ever, I'm so very thankful that you made them! Unbelievable! I never thought I'd see something like this!
