hi welcome to the site, do you have the original copy of the game? if you installed it you should have those sound effects no problem, if you are using some sort of back up copy maybe it did not burn corrctly. you should also update and check the configuration on your sound card and drivers.

I am not sure if it is original or not but all I know that there is no sound I downloaded the game (Ys I & II - PC) and I finished Ys I and there was no problem with the language or with the sounds.. everything was perfect.. until I began to play the Ys II.. first the game was not 100% english so I downloaded a patch for it now it is 100% english (I hope) My point is that they where in the same folder when I downloaded it and the first one worked fine but not the second one so I do not know if it is original or not.. please just tell me how to update it! and oh sorry for writing so much lol EDIT: LOL you were rigth!!! there was with the sound option to do with thanx

O Yeah the game is awsome (had to download when I saw that it was a remake of Ys on Sega Master) Of-Topic: I have a question! on Ys (Sega Master) when is the game finished.. when you beat the evil guy in Tower of Darm (Ys I) or Darm himself (Ys II)??

Its only the PC Engine version that you beat Darm, since they combined Part I & II.
Also....... nah forget it.

You never beat Darm in Ys I, and you beat him in every version of Ys II, not just the PCE one.

hi i think he knows that Darm is at the end of Ys II (he mentions it), i think he was not sure if Ys for the Sega Master System consited of just Ys 1 or if it had the entire thing on there (both 1 and 2) and was simply called Ys and just did not have the numbers on it showing that it contained both games. it is only Ys 1 however. the PC Egine one is the only one that contained both games on one disc.

Speaking of which, is there any import shops that sell that version?

Yeah, www.himeyashop.com. But you really should order it from Falcom. Their special offer this week is pretty nice -- YsI-II COMPLETE DVD, YsVI DVD, YsF LE DVD and the YsF guidebook .... for only 10,000 yen.

I see, but no matter. Himeyashop is too expensive anyway. I mean, Falcom sells four Ys games for 85 dollars while Himeya sells one for 60. Outrageous.

Chris that was my question. I was wondering if the Ys on Sega Master had Ys II on it too.. Coz I never finished Ys on Sega Master.. And guys, yesterday I finished the Ys I and II (windows) and I am gonna do it twice.. 'Peace'

It depends on what version you get. Wanderers from Ys is a side scrolling game with straightforward (literally) dungeons, bad dificulty settings (Too easy or too hard? The choice is yours!), and depending on the version, choppy scrolling and really bad acting. Oath in Felghana runs on the Ys VI engine and has amazing dungeons, better plot development, and has music that even Ryo Yonimitsu couldn't beat. The choice is yours. Fine. Pick Wanderers From Ys. It's a lot better.

You could play both. Playing Wanderers from Ys first does make it easier to understand Oath in Felghana. I know if I hadn't played both games I would HAVE to play both now.
