You can find a good enough walkthrought at gamefaqs.com. First of all you gotta read the sign that a guy's reading in the pub and then go to the big mansion to get some money. I'm really finding the game great, so far, much better than I expected at the beginning. I just wished Gideon Zhi would finish hacking the game. Following the story and getting to know the characters is a big part of the fun in Ys games for me.

Yeah, Ys4 is F$%#@! AWESOME. I finally got the emulator to work and so far the game is great.(Just wish the voice acting was translated or added subtitles on the bottom rather than reading the script).

Yeah, well now I just killed the Gadis for the second time......FM you changed your avatar, cool. Sadly I could'nt get into Brandish, but I got pretty far in the snes version.(Couldn't take the camera angles).
The Dawn of Ys is actually somewhat lengthy (in Ys terms). Longer than most games, if not the longest. Although I guess this might be because there's so much leveling involved. Especially in that snow area.

He was pretty easy for me (took me two tries) . The place where I got lots of exp was on the right side of the bottom of the waterfall (corrupted lands). The last of the disciples was an extremely hard boss to beat.
If I had an milkshake, and if you had a milkshake, and if I had a giant straw reaching from my milkshake to you milkshake I am in fact drinking you milkshake!

Sorry to repost but I'm in a pickle. I'm missing two of the 5 ingredients to get the invisible potion to get the best equipment in the game and since you guys finished the game I was wondering if you guys remembered. I'm missing the first and last ingredient.
The first ingredient shouldn't be hard to find. Just warp to every town and buy whatever you don't have in the item shops. Not sure which town it is, but it MIGHT be the one you get to after the large tree.
OR: Is it that nut thingy that you found in the forest? You know, you were supposed to walk in the water to find a nut or something that had fallen down from a tree, then give it to a monster so that he would tell you a secret. If you return there, you will find a new nut and I THINK that's one of the ingredients.
