Yeah, I think so. Anyway, just finished Dawn of Ys and the ending's great! Really, one of the best Ys games of all time. Now I think I'll play Ys V, the only one I haven't beat.

Ys V rules! Not Ys V for PS2 - that game sucks. BIG TIME!

You can find a good enough walkthrought at gamefaqs.com. First of all you gotta read the sign that a guy's reading in the pub and then go to the big mansion to get some money. I'm really finding the game great, so far, much better than I expected at the beginning. I just wished Gideon Zhi would finish hacking the game. Following the story and getting to know the characters is a big part of the fun in Ys games for me.

*sigh*..... no - nup - nu-uh - iie. Ys VI Rules. That's all. Let's clear this up RIGHT now. Napishtim. For President. It set a new benchmark. It's the reason why so many people are enjoying OiF. OK? Good.

You're very right. Ys VI DOES rule. Ys 4-6, those are the ultimate Ys games.

Yeah, Ys4 is F$%#@! AWESOME. I finally got the emulator to work and so far the game is great.(Just wish the voice acting was translated or added subtitles on the bottom rather than reading the script).

Where are you in the game? Man, I love Ys 4.....both games. I keep re-playing them over and over again, I can never get enough. It's crazy!! It's been a while since I played Dawn though (like, six months)....I think I will restart it soon, hahahah. I have played it to the end like ten times, and yet I WAIT to start on it again!! I replayed Ys 4 SFC recently.......in Japanese. I know it inside and out, so I don't need any readable text.

I fell off the bridge from the big guy and was rescued by a blond girl. So far so good.

Don't play too fast, the experience of playing Ys IV is hard to beat.

Its either playing this game or pokemon right now and I don't feel like catching them all if you know what I mean. Besides, Ys games aren't really considered long to me anyways.(except ark and oath)

The Dawn of Ys is actually somewhat lengthy (in Ys terms). Longer than most games, if not the longest. Although I guess this might be because there's so much leveling involved. Especially in that snow area.

That to me was considered a short dungeon since there wasn't any treasure or any mazes to travel. Most of the time was fighting evil yetis and invisible assassins.

Yeah that's what I meant. Small area but tons of leveling required (at least for me). That boss is brutal!

He was pretty easy for me (took me two tries) . The place where I got lots of exp was on the right side of the bottom of the waterfall (corrupted lands). The last of the disciples was an extremely hard boss to beat.

Sorry to repost but I'm in a pickle. I'm missing two of the 5 ingredients to get the invisible potion to get the best equipment in the game and since you guys finished the game I was wondering if you guys remembered. I'm missing the first and last ingredient.

The first ingredient shouldn't be hard to find. Just warp to every town and buy whatever you don't have in the item shops. Not sure which town it is, but it MIGHT be the one you get to after the large tree. OR: Is it that nut thingy that you found in the forest? You know, you were supposed to walk in the water to find a nut or something that had fallen down from a tree, then give it to a monster so that he would tell you a secret. If you return there, you will find a new nut and I THINK that's one of the ingredients. As for the last ingredient...
