Hi to all, I have Ys VI PC version and finished it twice so far. The game is great (like it a lot) the only problem I have is that I don't read Japanese So, if it's not too much trouble for you guys could you please describe me the plot? I do understand the overal idea, but there are some details I'm curios about. For instance: What does Ut napshtim has to do with anything??? Who is the winged lady the statue of whom is found in the hexagonal gardens (very pritty gardens too)? Why did that bad guy, who came by ship in the middle of the game destroyed it (the statue)? So if it's not too much troubles please give me some details here. Thanks a lot in any case. Best of the day to all. its

I don't quite know the story like the back of my hand, but I'll do my best to answer the questions.
1. What does Ut napshtim has to do with anything???
It's not the name of the Ark?
2. Who is the winged lady the statue of whom is found in the hexagonal gardens (very pritty gardens too)?
She is Alma, the protector of the islands. Also one of the winged civilization from back in Selceta (like Eldeel).
3. Why did that bad guy, who came by ship in the middle of the game destroyed it (the statue)?
He came to unseal the Ark. Ernst is from the group of outcasts of the winged people (I forget if he was a descendant or one of the banished ones... doesn't make much of a difference, though). He created the three fairies to disable the barriers around the island. Geis (the guy with the big axe) is his brother who was trying to stop him from unsealing the Ark.

The Ark of Napishtim is a weather system, I believe for controlling the weather of the entire planet. The statue I believe kept a barrier around Cannan(the islands where the game takes place) to protect the Ark. Alma is the same race as the goddesses of Ys, they're originally Eldeenians, but eventualy Eldeen was destroyed, & most moved to Selceta. Ernst was a descendant of a group of humans, who learned how to make Ash Emelas. I believe they were priests of some kind, kind of like the 6 priests of Ys. They tried to make both black & white emelas, but failed, resulting in the Ash Emelas, which became the creatures known as Galbalan's. My memory is a bit hazy, but I believe Ernst wanted to control the Ark. Oh, & the bad guy with the ships(I forget his name) was some kind of General of the Romun Empire, which, if you've played either Dawn of Ys, or Mask of the Sun, they play a part in those games as well.

ParanoiaDragon - thanks a lot for taking your time to explain all this to me. I did play YS4 for SNES but in japanese and long time ago, so I might have missed something there. Just one more question if you don't mind: What do those elve-like people with tails have to do with anything?
Thanks

I'm not sure how to explain them. They are called Rehdan's, & they're kind of like Alma's children, Olha, the main girl, serves as a priestess. I've only played thru the game once so far, so I can't recall everything about the story.
