There will probably *crosses fingers* be a project....
....WHEN the PS2 Ys VI is sold out.
But (ugh) there's still the PSP port (which we and the world need to support) so....
....don't get your hopes up..... yet I hope T_T
But while there's nothing official yet (or is there!!?), why not hope for an OiF patch instead?
SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH!!!!

YsVI for PC has been translated to English. But it's not for you, so don't talk about it any more.

Yeah, after some thought,
I think buying the PS2 version makes a lot more sense: > It's in English text and has dual audio for the voices > You support the release of Ys/Falcom games in the US > Ys VI PC Limited Edition is sold out anyway
Get the PC import only: > for curiosity > for better (a lot better) graphics > if you HAVE TO get all of Ys > if there definitely is going to be a completed translation patch released publicly for it
Of course, don't forget there's a PSP version too^^

I'm actually quite interesed in buyinb Ys6 PSP... if I have the money. But I think in order for me to buy the PSP, there have to be enough game worth buying. So far, there aren't that many "must get" PSP game titles.

This is what you need: YsVI - LE (PC version) YsVI - Standard (PC version) YsVI - Collector's Pack (PC version) YsVI - PS2 (US version) YsVI - PS2 (Japanese version) YsVI - PS2 (Japanese limited edition) YsVI - PS2 (PAL version) YsVI - PSP (US version) YsVI - PSP (Japanese version) YsVI - PSP (PAL version) Call me crazy, but that sounds like a damn sweet collection.

Also take note that IMO it's not good to have too many video games. You'll end up not beating anyone of them or worse.... hating video gaming itself (Thank god for Ys for saving my video gaming soul ^^) Most of your time may be better spent on doing something besides gaming. But yeah gaming is fun. So this is how it goes IMO psychologically: - An average amount of $50 is a huge amount for average people, so buying the best is the best thing to do.... -.... which also means that you will (and supposed to) buy one game at a time.... -.... which you could maybe play around 48 hours a week.... -.... and take 10-50 hours to beat.... -.... which you have to beat at least once.... -.... or maybe more than once to collect everything.... -.... and when you've become like a pro who knows all the flora and fauna of that particular game, that's the time you'll buy a new one. Calculate that.... you save money, you save time, and you feel more alive.... I think ^^ Point is, in the lifetime of the PSP, you possibly would only be able to buy a few games yourself. This could be the mentioned Ys VI, Eiyuu Densetsu, blah blah blah.... don't think too much. If you want Ys VI PSP, get it, get it now, and have fun. If you're worried about the other games, think about them when you've master what you currently have ^^ Don't cross the bridge till you get there

The PSP version will probably be dual-language as well -- in both the Japanese and American releases, like the PS2 version. And if so, that may be the version among versions to pick up... though the fact that it will (most likely) be unvoiced, and probably have a lot of detail loss in the backgrounds, may hurt it quite a bit. -Tom So they went out of their way to make dual-language for PS2 (and probably for PSP), but not for PC? I've nevered played PS2 version simple because I can't find it anymore, and I'm not going to get ripped off at ebay prices. I might get PSP version, still undecided. But lets keep it real, shall we? It is all about the PC and all its glory and beauty. I'm willing to pay Falcom the extra money for the cost of providing english text in their games. They don't need to have a US license just to supply their games here in the US, I'd be glad to pay 80-100 buck to import it from Japan! Heck! I'm not even expecting them to redo voice dubs, already sounds great in Japanese, just add English subtitles is fine.

First of all, Falcom did not release the PS2/PSP releases - Konami did. Falcom's games are always in Japanese only.
Falcom's games does not include voice acting. Only Gurumin.
Falcom will not translate their games to English so that a few non-japanese speaking fans will buy it.
Oh, and Ebay will not rip you off. You can easily get a new copy for $20 there, which is a very good price.
