So I was watching the trailers for the PC Version On Falcom's site and to me it seems like the game has a much faster pace to it then the PS2 version. Like Adol runs moves swings faster etc. So my question is, Is the game More fast paced then on the PS2 version? Cuz if it is i might just go and buy it

Don't think so.... But now that you mention it... Hmm.
It "feels" better to play the PC version for some reason. I didn't really like the controls in the PS2 version.

For me it was strange playing with a controller for the PS2 versions. I kept wanting to position my fingers on a keyboard. I also don't think the PC version is faster, but I can see it kind of appears so in the demos.

The one I have for my computer is just like a PS2 controller.

That is how I play with Oath in Felghana. I have been thinking about getting the PC version of Ark of Napishtim, but my owning the Playstation 2 version is a disincentive to get it.

Dash Jump is such an easy move to pull off. -> (Release) X /\ L1 R1 Start Select ^ v ^ v < > < > B A B A Start Select Reset. "Aww crap! I fell! Treasure chest I will get thee!!" The dash-jump was quite possibly the absolute worst combination for a simple move like that I've ever seen. That's 1 of 2 complaints I had about Ys VI. Whoever came up with that combo should be flogged.

I've never managed to pull off a dash jump in the PS2 version. I feel embarrassed.

I would be irritated about the dash jump, but I never needed it. I did eventually learn it to get to some of the accessories, but I never needed it to finish the game itself. So the fact that it's optional is pretty nice.
The only trick is figuring out how it works the first time. After you do that, it's really not so bad, especially since you never need to depend on it.

I only needed it twice. Both times were uber annoying. The first time, jumping to the chest that had the Bloody Nail in it which was well worth the frustration. OMG I was pulling my hair out. Over and over, falling down, landing in a different area. The second time was in the Underground Lake, but I don't think it was anything of significance.
Don't feel bad Seldane, I never mastered it either. I did it enough to hate it and eventually get the items. Something like > > Jump would have been much easier (and made more sense).

I actually got the nail without using the dash jump. I am unsure how. Took me about ten tries.

NO bloody idea how I managed it... ;; Because like Seldane, I've never pulled off the dash-jump successfully. I think I may have done it ONCE by accident at a completely unnecessary point... I wanna get it though. >_< I need to do it right to get that rassafraggin' Black Tabula...

I think you use the blade dash on the lightning sword for that one.

I believe the Bloody Nail can be attained without a dash jump because there's a hidden column behind the stairs that's directly between the two major platforms. So I think you can execute a regular jump from the left platform, land on the completely obscured central column, and then reach the right platform (with the Bloody Nail) using another regular jump.
As for the Dash Jump, if you're using a PSP, DualShock 2, or equivalent controller, it's actually very easy to do. Just make sure you switch to the d-pad for dash jumping. It's MUCH tougher with the analog sticks. The method for dash-jumping is needlessly obtuse, but the actual timing is quite easy.
Tap the direction button you need (d-pad) for a split second, let go, and a split second later, roll your thumb from square to x. Simple.
I actually thought learning the timing for the wind sword's extended whirlwind combo was a little tougher.

Once you get it the dash jump is easy. The best way for me was to tap the d-pad and wait a split second. After that press the (X) and (square) buttons at the same time and he does it. I can pull it off during battle if I try hard enough. There was a video clip I saw of a guy fighting the first boss and he was using the dash jump every other second. That was just crazy to me, and that's what got me psyched up to master it myself.
The extended whirlwind combo I can get down pretty well as well, but for some reason I can't get the timing down 50% of the time during a boss fight. Heh, go figure. The times I actually need the whirlwind combo I can't do it, but I can use the useless dash jump.

I managed the dash jump on the first try...how u do it? Let me explain step by step:
1) Place your thumb above the buttons square and X 2) Place the TIP of you thumb on SQUARE, the JOINT of your thumb and X 3) Now try both buttons at once...you notice that if u move your thumb to press square, just a split second later u will press X too 4) Now for the timing to execute the dash jump...ppl say its TAP THE DIRECTION, Pause for a while, SQUARE AND X...the question is..how long to pause? you can time it by saying: "1 and 1" each time you mouth the words 1, you press something...the first "1" is the direction.."and" means don do anything, the next "1" would be the combination of square and X as explained...
