Thanks MP83, I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's pictures here. I am extremely shy, and it took a lot for me to finally do it. Now, I have beaten my fear, who else dares to post their pics? Come on, it's actually fun!

I took my picture right before I posted it as well, so it is a new picture of me. I went through the thread and realized I had yet to post mine so I figured what the heck. By the way nice shirt, I love Batman and Robin and am a huge fan of the Teen Titans and JLU cartoon as well you should check them out. |

Hey, yes I watch JLU every Saturday night. Teen Titans is great but it seems like it is always on, I'm getting tired of it. I have been looking forward to Rob Liefeld's two issue stint on the comic. Anyway JLU rules though!!!

I'm glad you overcame your shyness, gmfreak... I don't think anybody should hold back from posting a pic. Everyone here seems very accepting, and not judgemental at all... You need not apologize for your sweaty condition... I know exactly how you feel. I don't know where you are, but I'm on the east coast USA and it is HOT! Also, dig on the shirt and the CD collection, very cool... ....but Rob Liefeld....  (shutters) oh, well... to each his own...  |

Hey, I'm in Georgia, and as you know it is hot. I know people hate Rob Liefeld, but it's one of those things, where, when he was hot in the comics field in the early 90's, I loved his art. It just stuck with me, I'll be a loyal fan of his for life, I just grew up with it. It's nostalgic, I can't shake it. You know I have been on forums where people practically wish death on him! Also, I admire all the classic artists too though, like Jack Kirby, John Buscema, and Yoshiki Takaya of Guyver fame to name a few. Thanks so much for the kind words. |

I think you might have me beat in the heat department Game, I'm in maryland so it's probably not quite as hot here.
Also, I can totally understand the nostalgia factor you feel for Liefeld, I have the same nostalgia for many comics, anime and video games that really weren't all the that great to begin with, but I still love 'em.
I think my biggest beef w/ Liefeld has to do with a comic of his called "Re-Gex" (I believe). I came across it while I was running this small comic shop, in Frostburg, MD. In the comic, he totally ripped off Leiji Matsumoto's "Arcadia" design from "Space Pirate Captain Harlock" (I mean seriously, one of his splash pages looked like it was traced from a Harlock manga!) I LOVE Matsumoto, and all his creations (Obviously from my name!), so I just couldn't take that... but I don't wish death on old Rob (thats just ridiculous!)
Btw... where in Georgia do you live? (if you don't mind me asking), I have friends in Athens...

Really?!! I live in Roswell, which if you're unfamiliar with the area is just north of Atlanta. I am very familiar with Athens, as I have a friend who is currently writing his Masters Thesis at UGA. Athens is a cool town, lots to do there.

Hey, I know how you feel, I didn't want to post my pic either, and I won't bother you about it. Since I mentioned in a couple previous threads about running 10K (6.2 miles) races, I thought I would put up a pic of my very first one in 2003. That is me in the green shirt crossing the finish line. No one close to me said I could do it, and I proved them all wrong. Ha ha!  |
