Hey guys, my first question is concerning the Secret Monster in the Ruins of Amnesia. Has anyone actually beaten him? I know that you can put damage on him, but it seems as though he is nearly impossible to beat. If I recall, in Normal and Hard, you cannot do damage to him at all, but in Nightmare you are able to hit him. Right now I'm at lvl 50 and I do a measly 1 damage to him, and he has 9000+ hp, so it isn't going well. However, I have yet to cash in my Sealed Cave levels, so I'm going to give him another shot at lvl 60.
I'm also wondering about the fastest way to accumulate Emel. Since the final upgrade of each sword is 500,000 (!) Emel, it's going to take quite a while to wrap this game 100%. So far, my method has been to kill the little red Bomb characters (Oachas) on the final level over and over.
Anyways, if anyone can help me with either question, I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks again.
Edit: Also, what is the highest level you've achived in this game? Is there a Max?

I was playing the PS2 version and had the same problem ( in this thread). At least, I think we're talking about the same boss. I don't know how much the versions differ, but I never did end up putting in the time to level up enough to tackle him. I did get the swords maxed out, a while ago (game time) actually, but getting the level I needed was just too tedious. I still may go back to it someday. But yes, I was levelling/getting emel at the same place you are describing. (The plus side to grinding so much, as I mentioned in my other post, was that the money could be spent on seeds of vitality, at least in the PS2 version.)

Well, I beat him! It was easier than I expected. I got in there, and threw non-stop magic at him, recharged with my 3 Capla Waters, and kept firing away. My equipment was Emelas Crown, Emelas Glove, Emelas Guard, Galba Hand, and Daylight Stone (Which I never used). After I beat Majunun, it said "Congratulations", and dropped 3 Galba Waters, which is nice since I blew all I had in that fight.
Unfortunately, it didn't open up the last 2 media files, hopefully it opens up after I wrap Nightmare, which should be pretty easy now. But, I did fill out the Boss Database.
Oh, I also found out that the levels max at 60. Kind've sucks since I spent awhile getting to 53, hoping to max at 62. Oh well, made some money!
