Heck no! ; Just the having of the scans. And someone being crazy or kind (or both) enough to try translating that mess. I've got the book and I've uh... cracked the spine a little bit as is, just from scanning some of the lovely art in it. ^^; My Felghana visual fanbook has seen similar abuse. I really need to buckle down and get another copy soon so I can just finish tearing my existing one to pieces on the scanner. -_-;

Guilt doesn't work on me! XD I am impervious!!
Soon as Falcom puts out an Origin soundtrack for me to order, a Felghana book is goin' in right with it for sure.
I really wish they'd just release digital art collections instead, like the Material Collection they did for AoN.... -_-; SOOOO much nicer.

Rapier dash, dash jump- either way, I was not so hot at the move. T_T The rapier dash is different from (and much easier than) the dash jump. Jump, and just swing the wind/thunder (was it?) sword a few times. You'll kind of slide through the air a bit as you combo... nothing, extending the horizontal distance of your jump without adding to it vertically, thus allowing you to get that Tabula in the Ruins of Amnesia.

I'm gonna try that! Thank you. I actually got ambitious last night and tried to go after it (memory refreshed- it's the Black Tabula I'm missing) after a good dash-slash/jump practice run. I can't get that timing right to save my life. At least not consistently.

What I did was just do combos on the ground until I could get it to go off. There's enough room to allow for it on the platform; but not enough to fart around with, so be careful.

YAY!! I GOT IT!! XD
....by the way, I now feel incredibly, magnificently STUPID. I had no idea what the rapier dash was till now.
Ahaha.. uh, so anyway, THANKS guys for all your help!! ^_^ You made a happy me!

Hahahaha, congratulations. You'll find that there are plenty of gaps that might be too far for a standard jump, but easily attainable with the rapier jump. The number of locations that actually require a dash jump are quite limited, IIRC.

Heehee. ^_^ Couldn't have done it without you lot. Now I just need to get around to finishing the game good and proper. Ernst needs to have his ass kicked. Badly. By me. >

Oh hells yeah. And its a fun battle to boot.
A high point of the game, ito my humble sensibilities.

Aye aye, Captain! XD And agreed to both- I love his boss theme. And the battle is... pretty. XD Painful, but I'm underleveled. Still pretty. Alas, his boss theme suffers the same plight I have issue with across most of the game's music- lousy quality synth choices. Imagine if they'd used samples (or, dare I say, LIVE instruments) of OiF/Origin quality in there......

It did have some fine, fine town themes, that I yield.

The only genuinely worthwhile tracks on the Ys VI soundtrack, for my money, were Release of the Far West Ocean, Mighty Obstacle, The Successor of Almarion and Ernst. The level themes and town themes I found tedious. I actually wanted to hear the soundtrack Konami had planned for the PS2 release, if only so I could rip them for personal use (ie. an alternate soundtrack). Those were pretty much my favorites too. The town themes weren't bad... just not memorable to my mind. The level themes, however, were bland as hell and just... ugh. I would still kill for some properly arranged/enhanced versions of Ernst and Release of the Far West Ocean. Falcom must've realized that the soundtrack to VI wasn't terribly hot though. No Super Arrange, just an equally blah vocal album.

I liked one song off of it. =P The rest were kinda icky to me.
Oh, and Zemeth Sanctum was pretty! I sorta forgot about that tune... ^.^;;

Only the third? :\ Jeez...
I grant that it's not very listenable as music for its own sake, but it got the necessary feeling across, I think. Nice and ethereal and such. ^.^

Zemeth Sanctum rocks! ...oh wait, it doesn't... it sooths...? well, I didn't love as many tracks as I usually do in Ys games, but I still found the soundtrack over all very good. I never really found any dislike in the syth, but it would have been awesome if they had used live instruments. Release of the Far West Ocean, Mighty Obstacle (although now I've heard it to death after playing the game), Zemeth Sanctum, Defend! and Escape, Ernst, and The Depth Napishtim were all really good ear candy for me (ugh... ear candy doesn't sound nearly as nice as eye candy). but my favorite is Ultramarine deep... it's actually one of my favorite tracks in the series. It's just too bad it was only heard for about 5 minutes in the game. oh yeah, I remember that "eye in the glass" got me thinking too. It kinda reminded me of something from a Mega Man X background (that reminds me, some of Ys VI's music sounds like something from Mega Man X. A lot more than usual). It's cool when they make backgrounds interesting like that.
