X-Calibur just recently informed me that an English patch had been released. That's wonderful news and I can't wait to sit down and play it! Thank you very much for working on this.
And I understand the same group might also be doing Ys Origin too? That is fantastic news!
One question to the group, do you all accept donations?

We are glad that you are so enthusiastic. In order to download the patch you don't have to donate. BTW:: if you want to donate since you like our work and what we are doing you are able to do it but I really want to stress that for downloading the patch is really not necessary since it's completely free. Thank you again.

Wow, I'm gone for a while and I come back to see the patch already done. I'm amazed at how fast you guys put it together. I'll definitely have to pick up a copy of the PC version next time it shows up in one of Falcom's specials...

Great patch, Doppia! Everithing works great, so far. I found an obvious mistake that probably someone pointed out already: in the key setup, it's written "jump" where it should be "magic".

As a long time Ys series fan just wanted to thank all for there hard work in getting this patch out. I really thought it was never going to happen. I have the PS2 version, but it doesn't compare.
I have been a lurker here for quite a while. It's refreshing to see people willing to work on getting it in English, and not be stuck up or demand donations for working on it.
I'm really looking forward to Ys Origin. Thanks again!
*Back to lurking* ...maybe

What can I say. xD Welcome! I'm sure doppi and team are glad for your appreciation. I'm eager to try the patch myself. ' I'm just waiting for a friend to return from a trip and "snag" his Ys VI copy.

Well I can't get the game itself to open, which I plan to do before patching it.

WEll the games doesn't run before patching since you're system is not set to japanese. Infact the rorigina game checks if the system is a native jaoanese one. So now you have two ways to run the game:
1) set the system to japanese
2) use aPP Locale to run the game
but the best way is to aply the translation patch that remove the system check and that translate the whole game. By Bye

I absolutely love you guys, thank you so much for translating and releasing Ys VI. I could not play the PS2 version because the interlacing/refresh rate made me suffer from eye strain and caused violent headaches.
So you’re going to work on Origin next? That’s awesome. Any chance of salvaging Deuce’s Ys Origin translation or has he decided to partner exclusively with Nightwolve?

One is free and one is not. Its that simple, so you decide which one you want to support. Ether way, its great that there are 2 teams devoted to the series, but you need to figure out how you want to support the community.

Hi, Thank You for providing us this patch, which looks amazing ! I was hoping to play it now, but unfortunately, I've a problem. I upgraded my 1.0.0 version to 1.1.0.9 with the Falcom Patch, and installed YsVI_Eng_v1109only_final.exe. The game plays fine, but I can't see any text. I noticed on the website that there were a bug on the Second Beta with the font. Can it be related ? Thanks in advance for you help ! [EDIT] I managed to fix it, though i don't exactly know how . Thanks again !
