The game takes place seven hundred years before Ys 1. It can be assumed that what you read in the books of Ys is going to happen in this game. Not much content in this post, but there is none to post.  |

Something I do find a little odd in what we've seen so far is that planet/moon-thing. They display it as if it's going to have a big significance.

It is very interesting, I've always wondered what's up with those Dual Moons* seen in Ys I, for example. *Reference to something unrelated. |

Well I'm really, really excited about this one. The story of Ys I&II makes up about 80% of the Ys fanboy in me since I love the original adventure in Esteria very much. So, a game about the origin of Ys and the pre-dated events that happen in Esteria just makes me salivate, quite literally. I can't wait.

Or a "Ys 0 (Zero)" relating how esteria got ruined, and how the priests failed on their duty on protecting the lands.... (Which is actually my bet for the game in development). I like the music from the trailer not to mention the gameplay. The Ark of Napishtim engine looks better than ever.

But whats with the freddy kruger claws. Jugo Fact doesnt appear to have claws in the gameplay. Jugo fact has a spear of some sort.

Seems like Jugo is being pushed as more of a magic user type than a melee type class while Yunika seems to be all out melee. But who knows, perhaps they have equal attributes or affinities to either magic or melee.

Hell, ya I remember getting that item to enable Adol to breath underwater and thought there was a huge underwater level near the beach. Unfortunately it was just a little pathway to a chest. Origin looks to have a full blown underwater level. Maybe you will fight a huge Kraken or some sort of seamonster.  |

Looks like I'll have another translation project on my hands... I might be able to offer you some help, hopefully. I should be done with PopoloCrois by then, and working on Nadja, which is pretty much half the workload (one anime series, instead of two)... so I can easily throw some game translations in there, too.  BTW, Seldane... about that "unknown character - is he evil?" caption... isn't that just Jugo Fact, in different lighting, with some slightly different clothing and armaments? I mean, it looks EXACTLY like him... -Tom Could be a brother or the like. Dark Fact had Keith Fact as one. Mebbe this is where the Fact good/evil split comes in. |
