Himeyashop posted a notice about shipping delays for EMS during the Holidays. Here is what the site says: "Notice of Temporary Shipping Delay According to the Japan Postal Service, EMS packages shipped during Christmas season will be delayed (It will take three to five days more than usual) due to the increasing number of packages they deliver. If you would like to receive your package by Christmas day (December 24th or 25th), we highly recommend you to place an order before December 10th (Earlier is better). However, there is a slight possibility we are unable to arrange and ship out your package to be able to arrive in time for Christmas day depending on items you order. Thank you very much!" Since Falcom ships EMS as well, I am assuming the same delay will occur.

Last time I preordered games from them, they sent them a few days BEFORE the release date, and I got them one day after their release. They started doing that since not so long. There's a great chance you'll get the game the 22th or 23th if you preorder from Falcom.

The reason I posted that notice is because even if Falcom does send it early, you might not get it as fast as you usually do. Let us hope that is not true.

's why I'm trying to find out how many places you can order from, what the options are (like is there anywhere that if you pay extra you get a guarantee or something).
I would gladly pay double the price of the game itself in extra delivery fees if it meant a guaranteed delivery date (and the fastest delivery possible).

Like I said, don't worry about getting the game QUICKLY. I know what I say. Of course, I can't tell what the future will be, but I've ordered stuff from Falcom much more then anyone else I think, and I think you can count count on Falcom for this game. Falcom is the best place to order Falcom products from, and even with the shipping fees, it's cheaper than in any other place online.

I agree with the GS and wyrdwad. I don't understand why people even bother with other services. Falcom's the way to go!

I feel like this is a commercial:
"Four out of Four moderators agree, Falcom is the way to go! Go Falcom, or get ripped off!"

I ordered a whole lot of stuff from Falcom on December 21st last year. I got my package early on December 24th, Christmas Eve. Who knows what will happen this time around, but I'm not really that worried about it.

the problem this year is that chirstmas is on a monday and tuesday. and the 21st is on a thursday. that means that there are just two days to ship your order from Japan to your home, since the customs office doesnt work on saturdays. becuase even though they don't chagre you, the customs office counts the number of packages going into a country.
so hopefully Falcom will ship all pre-orders a few days prior to December 21st.

I don't mind if I get it a day or two late. I am sure I will get my package in a timely fashion. I have ordered stuff that was sent via EMS on several occasions and it usually arrives two days after shipping.

Most of you are praising how quickly the delivery methods are but only one or two are mentioning where.
Could I get a few examples of which countries Falcom items have been delivered to and how long it took?

I live near Detroit, Michigan. It takes 2 - 3 days for me to get an item from Japan using EMS. It usually comes in through Chicago O'hare International Airport, and then is at my place a day later.

I got a package from Falcom to Blacksburg, VA, USA. I don't know when they shipped it (so I can't tell how long it took), but the delivery came to my apartment early Sunday morning. I was very surprised to see a company deliver on a Sunday. (Actually, I didn't really see it; I was still asleep, so I had to pick it up at the post office on Monday. )

I just confirmed my order with Falcom today. They said it'd be shipped on December 21st.
When I ordered Ys:The Oath in Felghana, it didn't seem to take too long, but I'm honestly not sure when they mailed it. However, I had no trouble receiving it then - I'm in SW Ontario, Canada.
Looking forward to this one - even though I'll be more lost than when playing Ys:TOiF... 8)

OK, thanks heaps everyone - I'm in Australia, so, there's no telling when - but I imagine it shouldn't be much different from America.
