Uh, maybe that's a Hard mode thing cuz you CAN avoid it on Easy and Normal by, as you said, running to the left or the right.
BTW, you can see the beam charge up, right? And Dalles is stationary when he uses it? I can't remember but if it's the former, you can just ... run before he shoots it? ^^

Another question is, are you distancing yourself from Dalles when he fires the beam? It's best to create a delay from point A (Dalles) to point B (yourself) -- I'm not sure, but if you're far enough from Dalles and you move left/right, chances are that the beam will miss. Try using different attacks too -- if you use attacks which get multiple hits, your gauge should go up faster. Of course, it's been nearly a year since I've last played the game.

I just did some experimenting in Time Attack, and I found that curiously enough it's the opposite: it's easier to dodge if you're closer to him. At first this seemed kind of counter-intuitive and didn't make sense to me, but now that I've thought about it I've figured it out: 1. He's got a max turning speed while charging and firing the beam. 2. If you're farther out, you have to cover more distance to circle around him, and thus he only has to turn slowly to track you. 3. If you're closer in, the circle is tighter, so you circle him faster, which means he has to turn faster to track you -- and then he gets hit by his turning speed limit. The tricky part is that it's got a pretty short charge time, so you've really got to be watching so you can dash towards and around him.

I have some problems with Toal scenario on Nightmare (50 level). I can't beat Dahm so I need help (I beated him on Normal but can't do it on Nightmare). 1) What does the Goddess Ring do? I know that it can refill HP bar somehow but I don't know how to do it (I got it only once). Maybe it wasn't because of the ring but I can't understand it (was it a glitch?).
2)What parts of Dahm does have the pearl? I know that the first form has pearl in the head, yellow one - it's in one of his arms. What about other forms?

hello and good day to all. i have some problems, with this game. first is that i downloaded the patch 1.1.0.0(XP) and try to use it. i appplied it correctly but it doesn't work at all. it shows some kind of error message, which cannot be understood. (some...!*U@(#)@!@##(,,,like that pops up) or even if it were to open the game --- the start page game stays like that forever,, you know.. and a pic of small cd revolves like crazy at the center of the screen. And also when i try to click on 'NewGame' or 'LoadGame' or 'Option' , it doesn't work and instead it only works on 'Exit' and game screen closes. AND So , i tried to open it, as it is after the game installation,(thought i could find my through the game somehow...huh~sigh!) But when i start the game it goes through all the intro and op too , the game screen opens at where the heroin tries to get up after she fell the blast shown in the op video ., and when i just about to make a happy face , the game closes itself abruptly. That's All(my fate).
i even tried vista patch, but no use.
i bought my pc in mid-2005.

See, you claim to be sorry about it, but then post the same request a second time in less than an hour, again all in caps, with a bit of bold for good measure.
I think you really are just that impatient, and that's not going to get you any help around here.

Okay, seriously, calm the fuck down. Don't need to bump a thread so much. This board isn't exactly the fastest moving board out there.
I don't remember this part too well and my walkthrough isn't helping me but I do believe it's located on the catwalk before the Devil's Corridor.
If you move to each column slowly, you'll find one that's making an odd noise, THAT'S the one that needs to be busted.

can someone upload the screenshot of the place where the cracked pillar is? Before you can do that, you need to go punch the swan.
