You need to go through the corridor until you see the door. You should reach there before your health depletes. Talk to the animal and give the fruit. The animal will give you the hammer (if you are Hugo). There are pillars on the last floor before the corridor. If you investigate each of them, one of them will give you different message (look carefully at what the message says; characters are different). Then, remain in that spot and go to the menu and use the hammer. That'll do the trick. If you are Monica, you just need to use the harmonica at the corridor.

You should also note that if your playing as Hugo the pillar that you need to break also gives a faint sound of that cursed area music to give you even more of a hint.
Also take note that if you play as The Claw, in order to pass the cursed area, you have to destroy all those glowing monsters while the zone is still cursed. The trick is to use the boost meter to become cursed thus your power will not deplete in that status form. Dont worry, they give you enough boost items to do it all in one shot. Keep in mind, you CANNOT uncurse this area when playing as The Claw.

cool, thanx both of you. I didn't realise that the pillars we were talking about were the ones outside of the whole tower, where you can heal. There are after all pillar-looking objects all over the place in the game.
Thanks again.

I am at the 24th floor, about to fight Zava. Playing as Hugo, I have the best robe in the game but I don't know where the boots are. I don't have last two boots. Can anyone tell me where these boots are? I am sure I missed them...

If your missing the last two boots, then you need to explore the last two dungeons more. There is a new boot in each dungeon.

okay, I'll finally bite. After spending two hours looking for the damned thing... I'm playing as Hugo, and can't find the medallion for the boss of the poisonous area. XD;; Any idea of where I should look? *laughs* - Make sure you've been given the Black Pearl. If you've been looking around for two hours you've probably got it already xD - Head back to the top floor of Rado Tower. Yunika's brought the statue already (when you play as her you have to get it from Dino on the first floor at this point) so they're fused together. - Finally, head back to the room where everyone's been turned to stone. Yunika will have cured everyone, and will give you the medal before running off.

I'm playing through Yunica's story on Hard. Where's the Blue Necklace?
I got some kind of Azure Crescent(Azure something, I forget which and I don't have the game with me) which I placed on an alter to fall through the floor, meet Epona & Kishgal and fight a boss. I can't get the item back.

The Blue necklace is given by Rico Gemma...After you defeat this boss, fall down, you'll get two chests: Mask of Eyes and a key... Then go back all the way up, and open the locked door with the key...in there, use the mask of eyes to enter the secret door and meet Rico Gemma.

What am I missing? I'm playing as Hugo... the third slot under Equipment > Accessories.. I never got anything for it... but I don't seem to be missing it since I haven't been stopped from continuing so far. It's the item between the blue neckless and the bells.
Anyone have an idea about what it is and were I could get it? My only other thought is that it's something that Yunika needs, but since I'm Hugo I don't need it?

The third accessory is "精霊の衣" or as it's called in Ys 2 Eternal, "Cape of the Holy Spilit" It's in the area right after the Devil's Corridor, with all of the jump panels, in the far upper left.

I found out the " To Be Continued" screen is just a set up to "Ancient Land of Ys Omen", being Ys I. You get the full screen once you beat the game with The Claw.

ok where is the medilian for the water prison. playing as yunica. the odd part is as yunica i found the hammer for breaking the pillers in this area. Just look for a wall that appears breakable. Its located in the first underwater section where you encounter the blue turtles. You need to use the lightning skill to break the wall.

ok where is the medilian for the water prison door to the main boss for that area. playing as yunica. the odd part is as yunica i found the hammer for breaking the pillers in this area. Head back to the area where the flashing turtle enemies were and look for a cracked wall to break to find the medallion. As for the hammer, that's just the thunder magic. EDIT: Oops! Beaten.

Thanks for specifying the hammer in the inventory. I too was confused with that the first time I played. Initially thought it was used to break the pillars to rid the cursed zone in the fire area. More help for troublers the better.

Are you running the thing via AppLocale set to Japanese? You need to do that, or change your computer's unicode settings to Japanese.
