OK, how do you get across the floating platforms on the first level? And can you use a control pad for this game instead of the keyboard? Thanks. Wind magic is the key to getting through. It's a little tough for The Claw, but the others shouldn't have too tough a time. As for the controller question, yes, you can. However sometimes the config program for the game doesn't pick up on the controller. In that case, you need to use the program joy2key (I believe that's the name) to get it working as it should.

Some of you guys actually understand the Roo's language?! I heard from gamefaqs forums claiming that the yellow creature actually speaks english. Those letters don't look like algerbra to me. How do I know which Roo letter is an A, B, C etc.

I have a question too.I play with Hugo in hard mod,to the "final boss"--->I shoot him and I kill him a first time, then he summon to monster in each side one right and one left and he have a barrier protection but in this moment I can't touch him how can I beat this boss where can I shoot to kill him? Ps: Y a quelqu'un qui parle français ici??? Ok, in that case, maybe looking at my video capture will help. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcoIWuOGRMM

Im missing my last fire crystal as Yunica can anyone tell me where it is? Also what is the max power up for your weapon? Max power for the weapons is level seven, where the power level for the weapon actually will say "Max." As for the crystal... hmm... you're either missing the one in the Territory of the Silent Desert or the Territory of the Poisonous Blood. Those are the most common to miss. In the Silent Desert, the gem is in the same room as the double-jump ring. You need to go down the slide and double-jump up to the chest with the inertia from the slide. It's kinda fun to do, really. As for the Poisonous Blood... yeesh... I THINK it's in the room below the red door room. If you go right, there were a bunch of anglers you had to kill to get the red key. Drop down the pit there and the gem should be on the far right. I think. It shouldn't be too hard to find, anyway, you can comb that area pretty well. The only other gem is the one in the Territory of the Guilty Flame. It's in the room with lots of scythes, just a little before the Devil's Corridor.

For akharr: Il me le manque aussi.

Did anyone beat Kishgal at the lava zone with Yunica? Is it winnable without the fire magic? This is the first meeting before you get the fire magic. I can't get close to him without taking some heavy damage. I am just curious of what happens if you win in this supposedly unwinnable battle.

I thought about this but it really seems you are supposed to lose. For one thing, when he beats you there is no gameover screen and the story continues. I'm sure if you tried leveling up as far as possible, he would still annihilate you. I havnt really tried to replay this boss over and over to see if its possible to beat him mainly because it just seems intended that your not supposed to.

Sideshow - There are a couple of those types of fight, and on one of them, as Yunica, I felt if I had a couple more levels I would have stood a chance. I didn't do too badly! I'm willing to bet you can win those fights, and there will be a slightly different sequence afterwards, but nothing much will change aside from that.
id - Simply head back to the last part of the sand area. After defeating Jenocres and looking at the Door of the Devil's Face, there will now be some more enemies here - the skeleton ones that come out of the sand, which are red. Destroy all the red ones, and this will imbue power into the Evil Ring. Return to the Door, and first equip the BLUE NECKLACE (which will protect you from the evil effects of the Evil Ring), THEN the evil ring, and go to open the door. It will open.

And, in case you don't have the Evil Ring yet, warp to the first save statue of the area. Now take a left and go to the far left of the room, then up and then a right over the bridge. Go up and you should be on some slippery yellow ground. There should be a small platform with a marking on it on the left side of the slippery stuff. Wear the Mask of Eyes and a bridge will appear from that platform to the other side of the room. The chest with the ring is on the other side.

I don't have the time to play Ys continuously, so I'm now stuck at the Devils Corridor, with Yunica, when I enter the room I play the harmonica and nothing happens...what's up with that. I think she needs to learn to play the Ys song correctly, she plays it off-tune now, but where do you do that. I also tried playing at the pilar with the sound comming out of it, nothing happens.

You need to have collected the Roda Nut from a floor below. There is a room where, at the far back left-hand corner there is a chest which is too high to jump to. Roughly in the very centre of the room, there is a platform that ends abruptly, and there is a red symbol on the floor. Equip the Mask of Eyes, run across the platform and press a switch. You can now reach that chest - you may already have done so 8)
Go back to the Devil's Corridor, and run as quickly as you can through. The main room spirals upwards, but as you reach the right hand side, you will see a doorway to the right. Go out there, and you will be outside of the tower, with Roo there. Give the Roda Nut to Roo, and he will teach Yunica a new song for the Harmonica. Go back into the Devil's Corridor, and play the Harmonica. Job done 8)

Nah, I did too. But there are different solutions to some of the puzzles for each character, so even if they played with Yunica first, they may have found that easy but got stuck on something with Hugo later on :s
