well i beat the game and was wondering is duless really the last boss? i am disapointed i wanted to fight Darm. i played through as Fact but from what i see if you play through as Yunika you get the same last boss, the soundtrack termination is among the ogg files so i thought you had to fight him, through out the game i did not here this track at all. is this a secret last boss, or a boss you unlock if you use Thor Fact (Claw)? please let me know if any of you has the info about this, i found the last boss to be very easy on the normal difficulty setting and was hoping for the big Darm battle, where he is sealed away for good, which from the look of things does not happen.  even though the plot line seem to always point to a actual battle between him and the hero's and goddess. chris |

You should play all three character's story before jumping into conclusions.
I finished all three character's story, and all I can say is that you fight the real final boss after defeating Duless when you play as Thor (The Claw).

oh thanks so much i really wanted to hear this, i found Duless to be easy and unclimactic, but i love the game so far but was disapointed by the last boss, i just started Yunika's quest , i am looking forward to beating the game again and unlocking the Claw.

Plaing with Yunica and Hugo is lots of fun but wait until you play as The Claw. First off, this guy is really fast. His wind technique combined with the boost meter make for some frantic fast paced action. Secondly, you get the real meat and potatoes as far as story is considered with The Claw. Thirdly, you get the real endboss who is Dahm and might I add that this battle is spectacular. The graphics, music, presentation are all very satisfying and gives the true ending of the game. Fourthly, the end of the game contains a new cinema not found in the other two endings. The whole prelude to Ys I is all revealed. Go over to gamefaq boards for some more spoilers on this. Fithly, no Adol unlocked after beating the game with all three characters on Normal. Perhaps Time Attack mode does this but I havnt played Time Attack yet. To sum it up. You need to play the game with The Claw to get the ultimate experience.

Wait, so should I assume that Toal is Dark Fact? I mean, was I right all this time? I was led to believe he was Darm, but, obviously he's not. Do they ever show Darm before he becomes a monster, or say his real name??
