I've have completed the game in Hard mode and I've almost completed the game in easy mode. What differences have you guys noticed in the difficulty settings? Here's some I've noticed.. 1. The platforms in some rooms fall in hard, don't fall in easy. 2. 1The spinning spiked poles move slower in easy mode. Some are missing in easy mode, i.e. in the Silent Desert. 3. Leveling up seems a lot easier in easy mode (duh? ). Anyone else noticed any differences?

I finished Hugo in Normal mode, and I'm almost finishing Yunica in Hard mode...the boss are way harder, many more balls in the air, on the ground etc...Harder, I mean, in Normal mode I don't have to "make levels" to clear a boss, here I had to some times...

I fought the girl (the one who spoke all the time with Hugo), she "demultiply" herself, she was "three" at the end..never was that way on normal. Ant the mantis, at the end she throws monsters, which if you don't kill them, are eaten by the mantis herself when you kill her, giving her energy and so on...didn't happen in normal

The mantis eating here children and resurrecting some more life does happen on normal. It happened to me playing with one of the characters which of I dont remember. Possible it doesnt matter what character.

Epona2 - she multiplies when she has half of her HP remaining. Pictimos - this thing will spit out the mantis-like creatures when she has half of her HP remaining It's not possible to miss any of those. Be more observant in the future.

That's the problem - it's going to be a while before a direct comparison between difficulty levels will be available... Most people will play with a different character their second time through, which may or may not be at a different difficulty level. However, any Boss differences may be scenario-related, not difficulty related.
Either way, we need to wait until someone plays the same character at different difficulties and documents all the attack-patterns.
Adolfrance - don't worry about it ^_^

As Hugo, Epona doesn't multiply because you only get the first fight with her. In the first fight, she doesn't have very many tricks. Just thrusting, line shots, and the flame thrust.

Either way, we need to wait until someone plays the same character at different difficulties and documents all the attack-patterns. That someone would be me. So ask away if you must. When playing as Hugo, Epona1 obviously does not multiply and never will. Same thing when playing as Yunica. adolfrance: Nah, you didn't offend me at all. Most often misinformation arises because people seems to mislook certain observations.

Ok then...I didn't fought "Thor Fukt" as Yunica as people may already know, but hey, just telling it Oh and, that may be off topic, I got all the accessories as Yunica, while as Hugo I didn't get the statue (extreme down and right) did you have the same thing?

Um maybe its just me but from Falcom's Ys Origin site gallery there seems to be some scenes that I don't remember getting even after playing all three characters. Perhaps different difficulty levels have some extra scenes available?? for example this scene: www.falcom.co.jp/yso/gallery/ss/ss10.jpg I don't remember getting.

Actually some people have already listed differences for most of the bosses (Japanese sites though >_>). For example, on Yunica route...
Against, uhh, Vigilian? Whatever his name is? He gets higher attack damage, his first splitting is quicker, he has an extra fire attack and is quicker when re-combining. Those would be the changes from Normal.
Similarily, the first Epona fight has higher attack damage (the usual), the... range? or something of her fire-based attack is increased and she fires more projectiles (3-5 as opposed to 2).
Most changes seem to just be statistical, though, with attack and defense bonuses depending on the boss.

Attack and defense bonuses are a given. Everything has them, and thus don't count. What we're looking for are different attack/movement patterns... Such as the timings of theg manouevres you mentioned.
