So how many out there had fun like this on those little things in the tower? I'm quite sure I left Yunica bouncing on it enough to make her sick, and I've compromised Hugo's dignity more than once playing around on them watching him bounce.

Yes it was. ....until I stupidly bounced myself waaaaaaay down into the lava once by accident. Not so much fun then. :x

Heh. I kept FALLING into lava after the second jump from the small platforms against the wall to the north. :P
They should have had bouncing enemies at that place! It wasn't frustrating enough!!!!
Speaking about enemies, Easy mode has a few differences in the Silent Desert versus Normal. I was shocked as HELL to see those tiny bug-like creatures leap onto steps to chase after Hugo (my Normal mode gameplay). I ran around screaming cuz they did so much damage. ^^;
There were also the smaller spiked rollers beside the small moving platforms. They were easy to get around with Hugo cuz of his Wind skill but I sat there thinking that I'd probably get Yunica killed a few times before managing to get across the room with those things in the way. :P

Indeed those are a lot of fun to jump around on, and the music in that area rules all over the place. The bug type creatures have been pests since Ys VI, and they even make an appearance in the Lava Zone in Ys the Oath in Felghana. I hate them.

The ones in Felghana! >:(( I was cackling with UTTER GLEE once I was at a level where I could pummel them to death with wind magic. >:D Revenge is so SO sweet.

I'm playing through Normal mode now, and finding I really. REALLY. REALLY hate those bone critters in the Silent Desert while they're still unkillable. They're pain-giving and persistent and ARGH!!!! >_< heehee.. I rather loved those little bugs in Felghana. They made for GRAND stress relief to MURDER them by the droves when I was feeling annoyed at being stuck/lost/kept falling in that damned lava zone. > AHAHAHA! Revenge is sweet indeed. ^.^

I'd somehow managed to scrape through Gelaldy underlevelled, was barely able to hurt most of the enemies, then ended up in that room where you have to kill the red enemies but can't kill the bone things. It was NOT fun.

Then, knock out all of them (you have to do it in rapid succession to catch them all down), and head to the other side of the room. They won't bother you if you are out of sight. Then, I could take care of the red enemies relatively unhindered.

I'm running screaming too. Right now, in fact.

I could sort of get a few stuck on the steps near the top, but if they were on the same level as me they'd follow as soon as they were out the sand, even if I was on the other side of the map, so I just had to try and do as much damage as I could very very quickly while staying out of the sand. Which I always slipped into somehow I levelled up better with Fact, but Yunika was just horrible. Oh well, I got there in the end.

Those were kind of annoying.
And I didn't realize just how much the er... hands from those flying undead guys could HURT THE CRAP out of you on Normal mode. T_T My poor Hugo croaked bad a bit ago from that. Oopsie. ^^;
Now that he's done making Mucha cry, off to the rest of the Silent Desert I go. Bwahaha. He's such a jerk, oh how I loves him. ^_^<3

Yup Highlight for spoilers post-Zava spoilers: Poor Roy :/ One of the few things I did actually pick up was how whenever she was calling out to everyone Yunica always seemed to call Roy's name first, then they had that little cheer-up scene at the bottom of the tower, and I couldn't help but almost mentally pair those two up. Didn't see them killing him off coming though. Was glad they changed the music for that boss too, Scars wouldn't have fitted, the one they did use was a much better fit... and the trailer music for the area afterwards... all that end stuff was *really* well done. They could've at least given him a proper funeral though.Spoilers end here.

I dunno what's wrong with Japanese people or just people that vote him as the number one bloody character all the time in the Tales polls. *dropkicks him* I can't stand emo-like characters that are stubborn, self-reliant, and rude to everyone around them. I don't care what hardships they had in the past, they're just stupid to not grow out of it and be more openminded about things. >:( *headbutts Hugo*

That definitely inspired me to go beat the snot out of the rest of the evil gang. XD I think if I understood the dialogue more, he wouldn't bother me as much but right now, I lump him with Leon/Lion from Tales of Destiny who I LOATHE AND WISH HE'D DIE A FEW MORE TIMES. Still, Hugo could seriously learn a thing or two about toning down the EGO from time to time... o_O; Arrogant son of a... ...ahem, well. ^_^;;;;;

Um... only ONE of the three endings is the real one correct?? Otherwise Falcom may have to remake the whole Ys series twice to compensate for all three endings no?

I would assume Toal's ending to be the canon one, all things considered. =P

The only thing I didn't care for with Toal's scenario is that it REALLY seemed to downplay the overall role of the search party in general, including the two protagonists you would have previously spent all that time with. :\
I suppose most of the events do overlap to some degree where the stories could be melded just fine into one canonical mess-- barring, of course, certain Hugo/Yunica-only events... but meh. =P Whatever works, I guess.
