The irony is that it's not even on the Falcom site and the latest newsletter made no mention of it either.
Many thanks for the news!

Awesome, thanks! I checked and rechecked Falcom's site/ newsletter for this, and just didn't see anything. Strange of them not to report it yet.

;_; March 29th...? But that's SO FAR AWAY........ You must be a student. I've never met a single soul who's spent more than six months in the "real world" who thought eight weeks was a long time. Time is a thief. And it only ever speeds up. You can say that again!

Time is a thief. And it only ever speeds up. A student? Nah, not as such. =P I've unfortunately been among those in the 'real world' for a good while now... Eight weeks is only a long time when you want something. Immediately. And that soundtrack would be the something I want immediately, hence the "so far away".... I fully agree with the speeding of time though. I somehow vaguely remember a time years ago when a single month seemed like it took forever to pass. Now... o.O; Well hey, where DID January go? ? ...I still want that soundtrack. ;_;

Is that Live 2007 Original Sounds then a recording of the concert? The concert is just 5 days prior to the release, that would be impossible. oh well, I'm in Japan at that time so I'll pick them up and bring some extra's for friends...or they'll shoot me once I get back

Am I the only person that thinks the Origin soundtrack pales in comparison to the last two Ys games? Napishtim and Felghana had such awesome soundtracks that I suppose it had a lot going against it.. but at the same time there were just far fewer memorable tunes and far fewer tunes that just pumped you up like the last two games.
Other than the remixes of past tunes which probably rode on familiarity more than anything, I can only think of the opening tune as being truly great.

I don't have the track names.. but I loved almost all of Napishtim's soundtrack, most of the level themes were high-energy which really fit with the action. I don't really recall any of the town or cut-scene music being stand-outs though. I won't argue that Origin has a more "mature" sound to it.. but when I'm running around slashing insanely fast multi-hit combos, I want a strong beat to drive me. Just my opinion, of course.

Go for it! Hope you have a blast, it's going to be awesome. After taking about a week off of listening to this soundtrack, I was reminded again how great it is today. I have been listening constantly.
