Dagnabbit, why couldn't they just put this together with the ost? Like they did with Felghana! Now another thing to buy!

Too bad the days of the JDK Special are over it seems. I would love to see one for Ys Origin.

Holy crap, must get. I was starting to worry they wouldn't put one out at all... I notice it's a lot of the uptempo stage music and boss themes... that seems promising for a really rockin' album....

Too bad the days of the JDK Special are over it seems. I would love to see one for Ys Origin. That's because the JDK band, as seen in the hilarious music video of "To make the end of batttle" doesn't excist anymore. it's now only Falcom Sound Team JDK.

ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/J.D.K.BANDit's probably on the Japanese wiki page edit: if babelfish isn't mistaken the real truth behind the name is unknown, but they talk about:'The Japan Dynamite Kids' or ' The Jumping Digital Kids ' that would be a stupid name though

What does JDK stands for, anyway? I don't know much about the history of the JDK band, but I am speculating they were heavily influenced by the Judas Priest band. Some people jokingly suggested that the D and K stands for "Daisuki Kishimoto". I don't think anybody knows, though.

Could be, since J.D.K. was a Heavy Metal band too (at least that's what it says in the wiki). Well Judas Priest is almost 2 decades older though. Myself, I've never heard of Judas Priest's songs so I can't comment.

I was hoping to see this, but it'll have to wait. I lost my job so I'm like Deuce until I find another. Which shouldn't take too long. I'm not that interested in this CD, but it might be worth a good check. I wonder if they'll have previews of the tracks up, so that we can all have a listen.

Well, I like it. Unlike Felghana's super arrange, which I got very few listens out of, I can see myself coming back to listen to this one plenty If you don't want your first listen with all its surprises to be spoiled then don't read on, obviously. Believing -Feena and Reah-:Is actually really nice, despite being over 7 minutes long. Then again I only really got into Ys just after Felghana so I haven't really had the time to get totally burned out on Feena anyway. Oboro:...strangely soothing. Kinda makes me think of the Water Prison when I listen to it, it has that kind of feel. Pretty much what you'd expect them to do to it. Scarlet Tempest:This one's... somewhat interesting. The introduction's pretty similar to the original... then it gets somewhat slower, while the backing guitars stay as heavy as in the introduction. The original was one of my favourite tracks on Origin (but I know there were a fair few people here who disliked it) so it'll probably take a few more listens to settle in. It's at least nice to see they were trying to do something different instead of just rerecording it in higher quality. Oh, and there's an extra guitar solo. Which is no bad thing. I enjoyed it, anyway. Silent Desert:GMF paradise, it's over 6 minutes long! Starts quite slowly then builds itself up gradually then becomes pretty much what many people probably expected, and wanted. Of course, there are multiple extra solos and other sections, all of which are awesome. Scars of the Divine Wing:Clearly no intention of taking any of the adrenaline out of this one. Which you prefer of the two will probably come down to personal preference, the drums are a lot more pronounced, there are a couple of extra sections, and it generally feels more heavy and in your face. If you liked the original track you'll most likely like this too, anyway. Prelude to the Omen:A jazzy version of the Evil Core theme. It's pretty good, but I'll probably listen to it less than most of the other tracks on the album. My Lord, Our Brave:CHANTS. While it's just "AH!" at intervals rather than a full blown chorus or anything, it still really suits the track. The guitars are in line with the likes of Silent Desert's arrange, and it all pulls together really well. I'm not quite sure which I prefer out of this and the original, but this one's definitely worth multiple relistens. Over Drive:Best version of it yet, as far as I'm concerned. It starts quite slowly, making me think it was going to go down the path Scarlet Tempest took, then about 40 seconds in it stops, then comes roaring back again and doesn't let up until the end, except slightly for some organ sections. Time to edit this into the game's music folder and see how the final battle plays out with it. YSY -ŽŠ•ó‚Ìœfœr:A vocal version of the title theme, which is a bit of a surprise. With guitars coming in at the end. I actually really liked this one. Genesis Beyond the Beginning:A... piano and violin version? Again, works really well. I'm not going to try and compare it to the original because they're both trying to do completely different things, and succeed, so I'm happy to have both. There's already the OST alternative version anyway. This and the previous track come together to make a great ending for the album. So all in all? I really enjoyed it and am definitely glad they made it. I was a bit worried after Felghana's arrange CD but this one is definitely worth the time and money, and I can't wait for my copy to arrive to stick it in the stereo and terrorise family and neighbours alike.

;_; I should have it in a day or so. Needless to say, I'm impatiently eagerly awaiting it as well. (Right along with Sora no Kiseki 3rd, which is in the order.) Edit: Enjoying. Falcom, thank you so much for making up for your laziness with the OST. (And with the Felghana Super Arrange, for that matter.) I'm still partial to the game version of Silent Desert, but this one is just as bloody awesome in its own way... and I have to admit I'm rather in love with the violin they threw in for Scarlet Tempest. It sort of helps it tie in nicely to the game's opening theme in flavor.
