Just curious as to what limited or special edition versions ye folks own. :D Try to only include those that had a limited print run and not stuff like the StarCraft Battlechest which is still available all over the place. :P
My list (Well, the ones I can remember)~~~
PC ~~ - Ys Eternal - Ys II Eternal - Ys I.II Complete - Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim - Ys Origin - Gurumin - Zwei!! - Arcturus: The Curse and Loss of Divinity - Ultima IX: Ascension

What is special with your Sword of Mana? I didn't know there were multiple releases of it. The List: *Zelda The Wind Waker (special double disc case with OOT bonus game - not like the NA release which has a normal TWW case and comes with a seperate case for the bonus disc) *Ys V Expert (not exactly a limited edition per se, but it was literally a very limited release) *Falcom Classics LE with some Falcom info bonus disc *Falcom Classics 2 LE with a soundtrack bonus disc *Ys Eternal LE with a 3-cd box of Ys stuff *YsF "LE" (not exactly limited) with 8 cds and YsF picture thingy *Ys 1-2 Complete golden case/book thingy with anime dvd (it's such an eye sore) *Ys Origin with artbook and bonus disc *Ys 6 LE with Ys 1-5 disc and Falcom DVD *Ys 6 Collector's Pack with all the Ys6LE bonuses and all FSB04 Ys things, an Ys6 phone card....and a poster I think I also have some other Falcom first editions... but I'm not sure if they can be considered limited, since they might have been the only releases. That's it I think. Mostly Ys things since I used to collect them. I'm not big on limited editions. I only got that special Zelda thing because I wanted to play OOT Master Quest (which I enjoyed a lot more than TWW itself).

What is special with your Sword of Mana? I didn't know there were multiple releases of it. I should have mentioned it's the Japanese release. It came with a cute Lil' Cactus solar-powered calendar holder. The Cactus would sway side to side. ^o^ Or, at least it was supposed to. >_> Mine is defective and is only attracted to the right side. The box also contained the game (duh), a little Rabite toy, and the calendar cards.

Nice! I would like to have one of those. Special releases that come with neat items are cool! Special releases that come in metal boxes, not that funny.

I don't even know, I've yet to play it. It is next on my console game list, but I'm not home at the moment.

I don't even know, I've yet to play it. It is next on my console game list, but I'm not home at the moment. ^^; Well, here's the thing! The Japanese Growlanser collection is a bigass rectangular box (like the size of a slipcase for a 12" record) with 4 discs -- 2 for Growlanser and 1 for G2 and 1 for G3. The Growlanser Generations from Working Designs is just of G2 and G3 and is in a regular DVD case. But if there was another Japanese collection, I wouldn't know. DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:

Well it's in a big ole box. But it's also bought from a US Funcoland.
So I guess the latter.

Does Tales of the Abyss count? I got a little preorder bonus lithograph with it that was a bit silly.
Edits: ...I keep finding stuff to add to this list that I've forgotten ARE special editions. Duh...

Wow, this seems to be a famous pattern. Let me join in. Ys: Oath in Felghana Ys Origin Lunar: SSSC Lunar: EBC Modify: Oh, and of course... The Wind Waker (USA); "gold" case + disk w/Ocarina of Time Master Quest. So much for Tetra's Trackers.

Heh, probably because those were all fairly easy to snag. And I suspect 90% of the regulars on this board preordered Ys Origin (probably Felghana too), so we at least have THAT. They aren't special editions or anything, but I CAN at least claim I still own the original Sega CD Lunar games. Silver Star and Eternal Blue, both.

I'm in that 10% that didn't because I didn't want a billion discs of Ys III music. Not that I hate the music. I love the PC Engine version but really now ...

Well, I did say probably Felghana too. I didn't actually preorder it either, but I got the limited edition cuz uh.. o.O? Well, that's what Play-Asia sent me. I don't think I really knew what the heck I was ordering at the time, version-wise.

Reading this topic really makes me miss Working Designs even more. I have all there games except for elemental gearbolt.
As for lunar I have the american sega cd releases, the japanese saturn releases and the american ones. What I am looking for is the hard bound Strategy Guides!!
I was very lucky to snag a copy of rockman X3 for the saturn, and radiant silvergun. I have the "fuu" disk for magic knight rayearth, but also a copy of the japanese edition w the art book.

Man, I would kill for Working Designs' Magic Knight Rayearth. I would also kill for their Popful Mail.
