I'll play it if its an action mmorpg... Sadly those don't exsist yet... If its just another mmorpg with a dull combat engine that has me watch and wait as oppose to react and rely on my reflexes, I don't see what it will have to offer that makes it stand out above all the other mmorpgs out there. They need a solid action MMORPG, I hope this is it. www.darkfallonline.com is as close to an action mmo rpg as its going to get, but who knows when it will be out.

Well...
Today I checked the website. The download is available for everyone. 1,2GB it seems. I was downloading it until the download got interrupted, so I'll try again tomorrow.
By the way, I saw a gameplay video. Well, nothing new. It's like we expected. (An ordinary point-click crappy MMORPG.)
Anyway, I'll see if I can get to play this. Afterall it's Ys, so I'm gonna try it. And if someone else tries it, let me know. \o\

Don't waste your time. Registration is for Koreans only, anyway (you need a real Korean social security number in order to register, you can't easily fake these anymore, either).

Well if it's on the Korean netmarble site it should come to the Japanese one in a few months and maybe to the Chinese one as well. The Japanese netmarble site is quite easy to register at at least.

Hmm...good to hear that. Now I can hope again to play it someday.
Although we wouldn't be losing much, the game seems to be really bad. xD But I'll try it anyway.

The game looks craptastic. It has the same gameplay as Lineage and Ragnarok. That is, Click to move ;< I can't evne begin to express how dull that is. We need MOAR liek... This! youtube.com/watch?v=07Dy0a-SIMgMuch Much better.

Sounds like a typical Korean based MMO. Most of them have the same basic click action gameplay, though it may have some nice art.
Otherwise, aside from killing shit, there isn't going to be a damn thing to do. How most of their games are.

Holy crap! First, Korea... then Japan... But Europe?! Anyway, amazing. xD Nice finding, MP83! The game sucks, but I am curious about many of its features, music, scenario, etc.. A friend said he would create a server for the Korean version, but also said it was actually not worth it, since none would understand a thing. The japanese version would be fine actually, but we couldn't get it. I hope there won't be strictions about who can play it or not. And I hope that one will be in english instead of german or something.

This is very random, but... I just found out I STILL have the earliest (or one of the earliest) YsOL Korea game installers. XD From 2007. And I still have the YsOL Europe's and YsOL Japan's installers! I guess it's pretty much useless by now, but would anyone be interested in these? They are rather big in size, each. We could run 3 private ALoY servers in 3 different languages w~ *could lend the latest files from the JP version as well*

Oooh! It would be cool to have an ALoY exclusive game! Would that even be doable? I imagine there would be cracking required, or some such.

Exactly. We could probably come up with a private server, given the right tools.

It's within the realm of possibilities. xD As for viability and odds, that's another matter entirely.

Let me put it into perspective: it *can* be done, as has been demonstrated by local servers created by fans of Maple Story, World of Warcraft and EverQuest. We have the resources. We have the hackers. We have people equipped with the necessary Java skills. We have everyone and everything we need to make this happen. The first step is enlisting in said resources.

Sounds awesome. I'd certainly play it if we managed to get a private server for the English version. I missed the boat on that, but not without lack of trying. I tried everything in the book to make myself looks like I was a European user and to no avail...
